The quality is excellent!
I've been using it for a few months. The quality is excellent and it does the job for me. I wish they had other models with the same value and quality.

I wanted to love it; not a huge difference between Apple EarPods mic
The biggest appeal of this mic for me is the 9.8 foot cord that allows me to move around while my phone stays stationary. Beyond that, it just doesn't have enough bang for my buck.To start, as the description states, this mic CANNOT be used on phone calls or for online chatting. You cannot have the mic working and headphones working at the same time. That really limits the usability for the product. The mic has one purpose and one purpose only, which seems wasteful when there are products with comparable sound quality which can to more.Which brings me to the audio quality:The Pixel mic out performs the mic on the Apple AirPods, hands-down. There's really no comparison. When I compared it to the corded Apple EarPods, however, the differences between the two were negligible:The recording done using the EarPods was quieter on playback, but I picked up less ambient noise. Having the cord hanging down by my face was mildly annoying, but can be easily worked around by just not wearing the ear pieces when recording (a small clothespin can hold the mic to my collar for hands-free, which is no different than what the Pixel does). The recording done using the Pixel mic had a much stronger output, but it picked up the rush of air from my mouth as I spoke. The Pixel sounds best when held about three feet down from my mouth (about in my lap while seated). Unfortunately, for a LAPEL mic, that's not great. When in ideal conditions (held about three feet below my face while speaking), the Pixel has better sound quality than the Apple EarPods. But, when clipped to the lapel/shirt collar as it's meant to be, the EarPods actually produce a clearer, if fainter sound.Considering that EarPods are about half the price of this, and can be used for phone calls, online chatting/meetings, or anything else where you need to use both a mic and headphones at the same time, I suggest getting a pair of EarPods (and a package of small clothespins if hands-free is needed). If the short cord length is a problem, there are lightning port extension cords available that would still put you out less money than you'd spend on this.

Best closeup budget friendly mic, better than Rode
Pro: This outbeat the main competitors like Rode with close up mic reception. Captures soft spoken speech and whispers.Cons: Can capture all outside noises which can distract listeners, not a condenser mic
