A lightweight, versatile personal filtration system, the second-generation Sawyer MINI Water Filter fits in the palm of your hand and has a total field weight of just 2 ounces. Perfect for everything from camping with the kids to traveling abroad where tap and bottle water can't be trusted, the tiny MINI provides 0.1 micron absolute filtration for clean drinking water on the go — filtering out bacteria, protozoa, and microplastics. The MINI filter removes 7 log (99.99999%) of all bacteria (like Salmonella) as well as other harmful bacteria causes Cholera, Leptospirosis, and E. coli and 6 log (99.9999%) of all protozoa such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium (independent testing laboratory Hydration, LLC.; microbiological report S05-03). These removal rates equal or exceed other filter options. EPA guidelines allow ten times more protozoa left in the water than Sawyer MINI filters allow. The MINI also filters out 100% of microplastics. The MINI 0.1 micron absolute filter houses a cluster of micro-fibrous tubes which use similar technology found in medical dialysis. As water passes through the side walls of the tubes, harmful bacteria and protozoa are trapped on the outer walls so you can be confident your water is safe to drink. **Q: Will this remove salt from salt water?**
A: No put you can do that with a soda can and gallon water jug and a knife. I can’t show a photo but try to google it

**Q: Has anyone found a suitable case for both of the filters and accessories?**
A: I bought this one in camo, but its also available in black for a little more cost. Its stiff ,but has a slight bit of give..its not hard plastic. It easily holds a mini Sawyer, plunger, a 16 oz Sawyer squeeze bottle, and my adapter attachments. I could easily add 2 more Sawyer mini. Its surprisingly lightweight and I like how the zipper opens enough for the case to lay flat when opened. The only cons is the loud rattle the zipper tabs make and I doubt a second bag would fit in without creasing the bag...unless you cut the holding strap out.

**Q: Will this connect to Gatorade bottle threads?**
A: No the threads will accept most water bottles but not the wide mouth gatoraid bottle. It does come with a straw that you could put into the bottle.

**Q: Why do i have to pay "estimated tax to be collected" here, when i have to pay taxes on the import to sweden?**
A: Import duties are a separate fee ( tax ) charged at the point of entry to the country. Almost impossible to know beforehand what the final cost for that would be, and where to send it.
