Laugh all you want
Laugh all you want, this thing works. Used this along with calls to bring in 2 bulls on separate occasions last year. I guess it adds some legitimacy to the calls in the eyes of an amorous bull. Definitely distracts giving a hunter time to draw and shoot. Honestly, if your hunting on public land you need to set this up behind and away from you. Yes, it’s that realistic. I’ve heard of guys getting shot at by unsuspecting hunters. For spot and stalk, I did away with the support legs to save weight. I estimate the decoy without the legs weighs about 2lbs. I take an extra arrow shaft in my quiver and Shove it in the same path as the legs would go. This supports the head. I then set it up next to a bush. It looks like an elk bedded down. Works great without the extra weight. I’m a believer.

Realistic Decoy
I borrowed a friends Montana decoy for my elk hunt and it for sure helped in bringing in weary bulls. They would respond to the call and say out of range but they came in closer to investigate the decoy. I was successful and came home to buy my own. Well worth the extra weight in the pack. It is a little heavier than expected is the downfall I have.

Looks realistic in the woods
Been elk hunting my whole life. I didn't see any elk this past year, as it was too warm where I was hunting muzzle loader, but the decoy really looks good in the field. Even when the sun shines on it, it doesn't sheen. Easy to put up and take down, and very portable in my pack. My only issue is the plastic clips that connect the cloth legs to the vertical poles. They are flimsy, and if it is cold, they will easily snap. Happened to me in warm weather. Regardless, I'm pretty certain this product is going to make a difference once I get into em...

They work as long as the wind isn’t blowing
These work great as long as there is no wind, got a nice 6x6 to close in on all 3 of my decoys from 600 yards out to 150 yards, the wind kicked up and moved these dec’s and he spooked, still shot him. My partners used my decoys for the rest of the hunt and had success as long as there was no wind to excessively move the Decoy

Product looks great and all parts accounted for however, box was ripped open and the poles were rolling around loose in the Amazon box.

Too Heavy for backpacking. Otherwise good.
I should have read the weight before I bought. I left half the crap that came with it in the box. Most folks will be grabbing this out of a backpack and setting it up in seconds, make it lighter and less complicated. Just make it flop open with some straps for a stick on the back.
