Perfect and THICK. bought these for my podcast studio. I have purchased many different types of acoustic foams and these are by far THE BEST. Great sound absorption and they are all perfectly square and exactly 2inches thick. I ordered the 24 pack and didn't have a single foam piece that wasn't just like all the others. I built frames to place these in and as you can see, they all fit perfectly! PRO TIP: I initially just threw them in the dryer on medium heat for about 10 mins each. this worked in getting them to expand. HOWEVER, I was curious about if setting them first would make a difference. I found that Soaking them first and then putting them in the dryer resulted in SUPER fluffy foam. Im not kidding when I say these foam pieces are great quality. follow the instructions and you will get exactly what you are wanting out of these foam pads!!!

Edit. Just rinse and dry them like the instructions recommend. They were perfect after. Sorry. Back to 5 stars. I was hoping to show these off on my next YT tech video but half the panels wouldn’t expand correctly rendering them useless. I’m not sure what the problem is, but if they can fix it, they have a quality product worth buying.

looks good on the wall and works ok, but several of the packs didnt expand even after in soaking water and using dryer. still worth a try though

These are a good value for the money. I would give 5 stars but they didn't measure out as noted in the listing. They are not 12 x 12 x 2.. More like 11.5 x 11.5 x 2.. At least mine were.. This caused some initial complications as I had to recut the boards I created to mount them, but in the end I don't miss the 1/2 inch per panel and they work great. Made a huge difference in my mixing room. 48 of these brought my R/T60 down from 700ms average to around 200ms average. Added a lot of clarity to my listening environment. If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about check out Room EQ Wizard. It's free and great and a great tool to use in conjunction with an omnidirectional flat mic when determining placement of your panels.

These are great for the money. They are good quality and expand really nicely. I have bought 4 sets of 24 and not a single one was damaged or unusable! I just went mine in the sink and threw them in the dryer and then laid flat. They popped up perfectly. They are definitely the size they say they are too. I will for sure be buying more to complete my studio. PERFECT!

After two weeks of sitting out of the vacuum sealed bag, they have not changed at all. They remain completely flat. They are maybe 1/4 inch high. I soaked one on water as directed. It did nothing. They do not help with sound. Do not buy this product. It is a scam. I will be returning them. Amazon should not allow for such things to be sold on their site.

First of all they arrived later than stated and the package was damaged. Second, they had a horrible smell and were extremely squished. We put them in the tub and washed them then laid them out for 24 hours however some of them still didn’t open up and they still smell! We then just used the ones that we could and they do not stick. My husband finally got some spray gorilla glue in hopes that would work, which it did for a day or so then one by one they’d pop off. It may be kind of worth it if they at least worked but nah don’t waste your money they don’t.

They came compact and vacuumed sealed. With a little work, they quickly sprung to full size. Easily taped them up with double sided tape in centre and corners. Easy to install. Uniform size and shape. Great absorbancy for noise cancellation. Pleased with this purchase.

Best imo for voice over! If you add a polyester panel behind the foam it is studio quality! Adhesion: depending on what you’re applying to I’d recommend something like sonopan or plywood instead of applying to drywall. Putting gorilla tape on the backside of the foam is how I personally applied these! A little super glue on the tape and set on drywall. Setup: The foam comes compressed so make sure to soak them in water! Squeeze out majority of water and put into dryer on medium heat. Some dryers take longer than others!

I never threw any of them into the dryer. All I did was submerge and wrung them out several times. There is some sort of oil or chemical used that must help with compression. That's what smelled but it wasn't horribly strong and it's gone now that they've been wrung out with warm water. After that I simply let them dry overnight and they were good to go the next day. 22/24 were usable. Two of them had the edges cleanly shaved and rounded. They were tossed. Three stars because the product is good but the time expenditure is fairly high for something that could be made to unpack and use right away. Harder to package for the manufacturer but easier on the customer. I'd have paid $2 more for that product and gave it 5stars.

I got a 24 pack on sale for $29.99... this was by far the best deal I’ve ever found on 2” panels so I jumped on it. Immediately after the price shot up to nearly double. Here’s the thing... they’re worth double what I paid. According to the market of course... in my opinion all of this foam is overpriced, but as far as bang for buck, these are as good as it gets and I got lucky. If you ever see these go on sale, grab ‘em! There was no smell as other reviews mentioned, but I soaked in hot water to expand and they fluffed right up to full size immediately. Giving them a bath may have helped with a smell I never noticed, but... I’m sure if you have money to buy foam, you probably have a sink too. So, seems to be a non issue. In summary, worth roughly $2.08 a panel.
