MariGold Grass-Fed Whey Isolate - Rich Chocolate Malt

This blends extremely well into a smoothie. Guessing the folks who are having frothing issues are just mixing with plain water. That's just gross. Yes, this is unflavored, but have some fun with it. This whey is not a meal replacement by itself, so as long as you don't treat it like that you should be good. Mix it in your homemade bread, smoothie, pancake batter, whatever. Here's what I use this for: Lunch smoothie (every day) 8 ounces of whole milk organic Kefir (plain) 2 cups of organic baby spinach 1 banana 1 scoop of Primal Greens (AG1, Bulletproof, etc. will also work) 2 scoops of unflavored grass-fed whey 1 Tbsp of MCT oil 1 big-ass spoonful of homemade peanut butter (100% peanuts, nothing else) Macros ~ 700 calories ~ 39g of net carbs ~ 38g of high-quality fat ~ 46g of protein I find this to be delicious AF and damn near a perfectly crafted lunch. You get ALL your greens for the day (plus some), your daily multi-vitamin, probiotics, protein, high-quality fats, and ALL your daily amino's. It settles VERY nicely, leaving you feeling content and satiated. Eat clean everyone and live well! Your gut will thank you.

This is my first purchase of whey protein. I've been drinking collagen peptides for a few months and decided to give whey a try. It appears to be of very high quality. It's a very fine white powder that's fluffy, without lumps, and the color is consistent throughout. It tastes a little like milk, which is unsurprising since it is made from it. But I read some reviews of various brands of whey protein, and some people complained that it tasted awful. This one tastes good to me, mixed with plain water without any sugar or flavorings, and I suggest that if you have whey protein that tastes bad, it is probably spoiled. I'll be buying this one again. Recommended!

After having done a fair amount of research, I selected this item and was looking forward to trying it. On paper, it seems excellent. Unfortunately, when the item arrived, I saw the protein powder bag had burst open. Amazon will replace it, so I'll update my review once I can actually use the product. UPDATE: After the bumpy start that I briefly described in my original review (above), I quickly and easily received a replacement package. Having now used the product, I can report that I like it and will order it again. I've mixed the whey protein isolate powder in two ways. 1) I've blended it in smoothies using a blender. While it blends thoroughly, it does get a bit foamy. 2) I've also hand mixed the powder into drinks (e.g., milk). It quickly blends thoroughly without much of a problem. When blending by hand, there is no foam. I find that however I mix the powder, it provides nice body to the beverages I make. While this powder is "unflavored," it does have a mild, natural milky taste which I found pleasant. The mild flavor goes fine with the other ingredients I blend it with or disappears entirely. Just so you know, the packaging states that the product is Kosher and Halal. However, no certification symbols are printed on the package nor does the manufacturer state who the certifying authorities are. Regarding the packaging, I definitely have problems with it. As I have already indicated, the first bag I had received was ruptured and required replacement. So, the bag is a bit fragile. The other problem is that while this is a ziplock package, it's more awkward to use and store than products that come in a hard plastic container with a lid. While I don't find this to be a huge bother, my preference is definitely for better packaging. I do appreciate that a scoop is included in the package. Again, despite a bumpy start, I quite like this product and will re-order it.

Best protein I’ve had. Grass fed and tastes so good! L-Glutamine already in so don’t need to buy it separately unless you are a serious bodybuilder. Ingredients are high quality and texture smooth. mixes well with shaker bottle

This is my FAVE chocolate protein! I've been using it for maybe a year and it's delish! I've actually made choc/pb creami with it too! It mixes well and doesn't have that chalky protein powder taste!

The first bag of this we got my husband enjoyed quite a bit. This bag tastes completely different. It actually tastes like something was left out. It doesn't smell the same and the taste is pretty much nonexistent. I use the Chocolate Marigold Whey and I told my husband I would just use the Strawberry until it was gone and we would switch him back to his old brand of whey. I blended this Strawberry powder with some ice and it has no taste at all. It literally just tasted like foam. I'm not sure what happened to this bag, because as I said, the first bag was quite good. We had this on subscribe and save, but have cancelled that and he will go back to his old brand of whey. **editing to say that MariGold reached out to us about this issue and were WONDERFUL to deal with. I also want to say that the Rich Chocolate Malt flavor is my absolute favorite and I still have it on subscribe. It is the BEST whey out there and I will continue to use it. Thanks MariGold!

The Taste Is Pretty Good, Not Made With Alot Of Artificial Crap & Fillers Like Many Other Protein Isolate Powders On The Market. The Only Con To This Product Is That The Price Is A Bit Steep, So I Don't Buy It As Often As I Would Like. But Other Than That... This Powder Is Solid
