This project box is credible, however, it has standoffs in the bottom, two of which have threaded female brass inserts to accept machine screws. These are intended for use with a mounting plate so project builders can build components onto the plate outside of the box in the open and then simply screw the base down inside the box when they are done. If the vendor is not going to include the plate, they should at least offer it separately. In my case, I work with plastics and easily made a mounting plate of my own. I made all the cut outs in the box using a rotary cutter (rotozip) and found the ABS body to be much tougher than I expected. Zero issues with cracking despite some of the big holes I put in the box. Everything you see in the photo and video was purchased on Amazon including the ASPL lights, the Talentcell rechargeable battery, the power distribution and accessory unit, even the cable glands. All excellent Amazon products leading to an outstanding outcome. My Rize bicycle has never been the same. When cars approach my bike at night from the rear on lonely country roads they slow right down because they don't even realize it is an electric bicycle. The ASPL (Amazon) strobe emergency lights are so bright they even flash off the trees on both sides of the road.

Needed oddball box for exterior led lighting control. This worked out well. Leviton astronomical timer has 1 flaw. The sunset/sunrise "offset" cannot be set independently. Eg: -15 minutes means it will turn on 15 min before sunset / off 15 min before sunrise.I want to turn on 15 min after sunset and off 15 min before sunrise.To do this I added a time "on" delay relay.Timer picks up at sunset, relay delays "on" by 30 min, then timer drops out at 15 min before sunrise.30 minutes less per day of lights on = 182.5 hrs.Low wattage lighting may not be a big deal, but if you're running 100w or higher for exterior lighting it will add up to a fair saving per year.This box worked out well for my set up. Very clean and tidy finished product.👍Note:- when drilling, use a "uni" or "step" bit.- if you take your time you can make up a sheet metal mounting plate that fits inside box

Very poor quality, brittle, arrived scratched.*update* I had put 1 star, but the company reached out for a settlement that satisfied me. This settlement required nothing from my part. Afterward I received an email asking me to delete my initial review in return. I obviously am not doing this. But I did find it justified to update this review to a medium rating due to my level of satisfaction reached while remaining transparent in my review.

The plastic box is solid and of good quality, but the description said that it was a waterproof box and the picture showed what I though was a modded rubber seal.In reality, the box has the groove for a seal, but the rubber seal that is shipped with the box is not preformed to the groove and it’s diameter is also too large to fit in the groove.

I bought this project box for a 3 phase rotary cam switch. Of course you have to add your own holes but this fit like a glove and provides more space for wire than the cam switch boxes you can buy. Well worth it for my project.
