Another 10 out of 10 for me.
I have read all of Ali's books and they just get better and better. I completed it in just a couple of days as I just couldn't put it down. Highly recommend this to anyone who likes a feel good read with a bit of intrigue thrown in. Can't wait for her next one. Go All x

So inspiring to write about invisible disabilities, helping people to understand in an informative but lovely way. Ali is a fabulous author.

A magical Cornish story
3.75 🌟I haven't read a book by Ali McNamara in a little while but this was a pretty enjoyable reintroduction to her writing. This is a lovely summer read set in the fictional world of St Felix like some of the authors previous books - it's not necessary to have read them but you'll appreciate the cameos other characters make if you do.We follow respected (but somewhat uptight) meteorologist Sky as she reluctantly takes on an assignment in this magical seaside setting where the Cornish vibes are much higher than the stormy waves described 😆Lots of secrets and a fair bit of a drama ensue as Sky navigates some unexplainable weather, quirky characters and her own 'monster' that's she's battling with.It was really refreshing to read a book where the main character has a chronic illness (based on Ali's own experiences) and for it to be represented so well.I felt like things escalated very quickly at the end and it was a bit rushed but it was still a pleasant end to the story. As the weather gets colder this will definitely transport you back to the Cornish summer coast!

Secrets uncovered
First book by Ali McNamara. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting from the cover but in a good why. Strong female lead in Sky Matthews. So many secrets were waiting to be uncovered in this book. Serious topics were dealt with sensitively and felt like a high level of detail had been researched. Even my knowledge of the weather has improved :).Really enjoyed this book and it’s characters. I’d even say there is room for a sequel

Lovely read
This was a lovely lighthearted and uplifting read set in a magical Cornish seaside village. Meteorologist Sky is easing herself back into work following a long time off due to Ill health and she’s keep to prove her ability to still do her job, she’s less than impressed to learn that as well as a trainee to assist her there’s also weather presenter Sonny who seems a bit too full of himself. The weather activity is surprisingly interesting when it has its little quirks on occasion but the characters more so with the local weather watch not impressed to be moved from their island base so the meteorology team can take over, a grumpy harbourmaster and more than a few lovely locals including some familiar faces. Sky’s illness features quite heavily in this but it certainly increased my awareness and anything that highlights hidden disability is a good thing. Overall this continues the St Felix stories along with their enchanting mysteries and joy in a brilliant way, it’s a very enjoyable and relaxing read.

I want to visit St. Felix
Ali McNamara has done it again.I enjoy visiting St. Felix whenever I can. The best part of this series is that you don't have to read the books in any sort of order. Yes, you will encounter characters from the previous books, but you don't need to know their backstory.Sky is sent to Aurora, a small island just off the coast of St. Felix, on assignment. She is hoping for a nice easy job, where she can learn to get back on her feet after being diagnosed with ME.However, she encounters her first unwanted change in the shape of Sonny Samuels, aka Jamie.Sonny is Jamie's TV persona. Sky struggles to trust Jamie at first because she believes him to be a weatherman that doesn't know anything beyond his auto-cue.In the course of her realising that Jamie and Sonny are two different sides to the same coin she also learns that sometimes you need to ask for help and admit when you're struggling.I received an ARC copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
