I love this large solderite board. For someone new to soldering, placement is a frequent conundrum. The solderite board has a gloriously flat, even surface and the large board is so expansive, I can solder several pieces at once. And it's low, so I can see what I'm doing easier. It also doesn't continue burning the way charcoal does. I'm very happy with it and having Amazon deliver it is convenient.

What I liked about this item was it was sturdy and large enough for my large soldiering work. What I didn't like about the product was the price. I use to be able to get these boards for $20 a piece, today as I am retiring my older boards and needed something of the same size and quality, but the only thing that I have found so far is this board. I like the board and hopefully, it will work just as well or better than my older boards.

I have a small workbench and it's important to me to be able to use my torch safely. This is a great board for soldering and annealing metal. It's lightweight and works well. It cools down quickly. You do need to treat it carefully as it will nick and break if not treated carefully.

I used this in a generator shed to shield the area near the exhaust. I tested it with a soldering iron. heat gun, and propane torch and it seems to hold up and serve its purpose. Careful if drilling, it gets very brittle easily.
