The Metaphysical Book of Gems and Crystals

This book is great for beginers, whether one is interested in the science of minerals or for the metaphysics of gems and minerals. There are only 72 minerals that are in the book, but there is at least 2 pages per gem. Though be warn! If you have never purchased a gemstone before, understand that some of the photographs, like Rhodocrosite, was taken most likely under a microscope. The pictures were a bit misleading for me when I first started trying to purchase some the gemstones that were in the book, because the pictures aren't excately what a true mineral looks like that you can buy.But for the photography being a confusing, the book is well written. There is a little history about each mineral at the begining of the page for each mineral and it gives some scienific information, like the Hardness and Density for each mineral, along with information about which charka and astrological sign that goes with each mineral.If you are JUST begining to get into the metaphysics of gemstones and mineral, I would recommend this book.

I've been collecting rocks and crystals all my life. This book is really awesome and taught me quite a bit! I'm recommending it to everyone with interests in crystals and gems.

This is a very nicely illustrated book that gives both scientific and spiritual uses and information about gems and minerals. It is a great book if you want both. Easy to read and not too confusing non-scientists.

I have been referring to this book since I got it. It is organized by stone in one area, by health concerns that a gem can help you in another area and by mental/social issues gems can address.

I bought this book as a gift. I have not read it or used it in any way. However the receiver expressed his pleasure in this book and stated that it had information that he was looking for.

Only started it but this book sits well with those who treat this subject as being experiences with other levels of being,which is the most interesting field of involvement. "Respect" (to) FM***

Now this is what I call a crystal book. I've got lots of crystal books, and this one I always recommend in my top 10 to have.
