Corn bread to rave about--gluten free!!
Just found out I am celiac and all things gluten are forbidden. Thus, I tried this product. Wow!! This mix is better than any made with flour and cornmeal. It is not too sweet, great texture, and holds together very well. I even used it in a cast iron muffin pan and they still came out great. Highly recommend.

Good and does NOT contain tapioca starch!
I’m on the hunt for gluten-free baked goods that do NOT contain tapioca starch, which upsets my stomach. This cornbread is very good, though I could have done with less sugar. Call me a purist for Western cornbread. In 2025 this mix has sorghum flour in addition to cornmeal. Does not taste or feel adapted at all, I could probably pass these off to family as conventional.

I really like this mix! The corn is a little gritty, true to the ground corn. I will keep purchasing!

Best packaged corn muffin mix
I have made this several times and each time it comes out fluffy light, and flavorful. It’s slightly sweet so bear that in mind if you don’t like sweet cornbread. I usually add chopped chives, chopped jalapeños or serranos and whole kernel corn, either fresh or canned. (the black specs on top of the muffins in the photo are black pepper -I like that little hit of pepper when I bite into them) Perfect with soups and barbecue. You can’t go wrong.!
