I bought this for my child. Teen- when came in mail she said I have enough of these . Then skimmed the pages and said No I like this one. Place to draw- and not just write. Easy to read-bug font- great quotes- checklists- coping strategies- although says Teen It could be used for an adult

One of My Go-Tos
As a school psychologist, I really enjoy this book. The writing is simple, so I would not necessarily read it word-for-word to a student unless upper elementary. However, I feel like this covers a wide range of coping strategies and I have found it useful in creating a framework to focus my lessons. The book is divided into understanding your thoughts and emotions, relaxation/mindfulness techniques, movement and sensation techniques, and distraction skills. It starts out by describing how to understand thoughts and feelings, as well as errors in thinking, before delving into coping strategies. I have found it easy for my students to understand.
