perfect for IPad Pro or any other Ipad
I use an IPad pro, the largest model IPad. This IPad holder does the job. It holds the ipad securely in place even with the IPad cover folded back. The holder fits onto any microphone stand and it swivels and tilts to exactly where you want it positioned. It quickly moves from Landscape to Portrait positions, with a convenient stop on each position, built into the holder. This is a really well-engineered product made in Germany. I've had several other I pad holders designed to work clamped to a stand and none of them worked well enough for me to keep. This one is a keeper. Highly recommended

GREAT tablet holder!
I bought this to hold my 12.9" Apple iPad Pro. I paired it with a Konig & Meyer 260 microphone stand. Works GREAT like all K&M products. Gotta love German engineering. I have about $2K in my 3 tier K&M keyboard, microphone, and iPad stands. They are a bit price, but all come with 5 year warrantee that I have yet to have to use. When you figure in how long they last, they are a GREAT value compared to buying cheap and replacing frequently.

Does not work with a case.
I think this product is well made. I like the adjustments and it securely holds an iPad without a case. However, the creators of this lack some simple vision. This product is being marketed to musicians. I have a very large list of fellow musicians that take iPads to gigs. Every single one has a case! Because, who in their right mind would gig with an unprotected iPad. There is a very easy solution to this. There are 3 spring loaded holders with depth adjustment, just ad another 3 to 6mm to the depth and you could accept every iPad case out there. I'm debating wether I return this unit or try to 3D print replacement holders for it. I've had a few other holders that really sucked. This one is of good build quality, unfortunately there's lack of knowledge as to what gigging musicians require.

Sturdy Tablet holder but not perfect for iPad Mini or iPad Pro.
Overall I like my K&M Universal iPad holder. Things I like:1) It's pretty sturdy.2) It has a fairly secure system for locking the iPad in place.3) I can quickly rotate from Landscape into Portrait.4) I can adjust the tilt of the device easily.5) Attaches securely to a microphone stand.Things I don't like.1) The stand does not adjust to securely hold an iPad Mini (as shown in the pictures. But with a folio case attached I can wedge it in there in a way that is O.K. I'll be getting a bigger iPad soon so it's not a big deal for me.2) I tried it with an iPad Pro and it did not work well. I wanted the Face ID camera to be on the right side in landscape mode as I was using it for reading facial expressions to turn sheet music. (Your face will be looking to the right when you need to turn a page) However, with the iPad Pro in this position one of the microphones was covered by the single clip on the top-center and the corner clip in the lower right interfered with the volume controls. Not ideal.3) There is not a quick release mechanism to remove an iPad from the stand to do other things. This means you have to unscrew one of the clips each time you want to remove it.

Highly recommend
Expensive, but works better than the competition. It's a little fiddly to setup, but once you have a tablet secured, having the ability to flip 90 degrees is a game changer. No loosening or tugging on a ball and socket connection to change positions. Highly recommend.

This is what I wanted.
I use my iPad for music and having it sit up like a sheet of paper rather than sideways works so much better, and this is secure in that it grips it from the bottom unlike other holders.

ipad air 13’ fit
I use it for my ipad air 13’, attached to a single base mic pedestal. It is perfect.

Defaults to Landscape Position
I bought this mount for my 12.9” iPad Pro. Like other reviewers have said, this mount works primarily in the landscape position, but I was really hoping it would work for holding my iPad in the portrait position. In portrait position, the mount must rotate from its default horizontal position (with two clamps on the bottom and one on top) so there are two clamps on one side and one on the other- it looks odd to me and would really bother me having to stare at it like that while playing my instrument (aesthetics, anyone?). Also, this mount only attaches to a music stand or mic stand with a threaded post. I thought it might attach to the stand with a clamp but it does not.
