Tasty but very small portions
Very tasty. Good quality. Just realize they might be a smaller than expected single-serve portion size. It takes 2 pouches to make my partner & I 1 sandwich each.

Itsumo tuna is the best and healthiest option
I basically lived off of Itsumo Tuna in Coconut oil for almost three months while training martial arts in Japan last summer.Being an athlete, I'm extremely discerning of what I put into my body. I find myself constantly reading the ingredients list of products and having to put back supposedly “healthy” products all the time. It's extremely hard to find a product, a snack or supplement that can keep up with and help me maintain my very active lifestyle. But luckily there is Itsumo tuna in coconut oil.I want to start of by saying that it taste great! There’s no hint of a fishy smell what so ever. Which I can't say about a lot of other Tuna and fish products out there. That's a huge plus in my books. Why should you try Itsumo Tuna in Coconut Oil?It contains a small list of all natural ingredients including yellowfin tuna, extra virgin coconut oil, water and salt so you never have to worry if what you’re eating is healthy or whether or not you're getting the proper nutrients. It's easy to transport. When you're as active as me and you essentially live out of a book bag you need something that can go anywhere and everywhere, won't make a mess, and that's ready to eat whenever you have a free moment. The taste is great. You know it's quality tuna because again there is no fishy smell. It's the same quality that you would expect from a high end sushi restaurant mixed with the natural sweetness from the coconut. As they say, the proof is in the pudding, well in this case the proof is literally in the tuna. It's not another faceless company. I was lucky enough to have the chance to meet with the founder of Itsumo, David Leibowitz and he is a great guy.I'm sure you guys can guess what we ate right? It's not very often that you get the chance to meet the head of an international food business and knowing that this is a brand being lead by a real person, with a real family, and a real story that's not about making money off of his customers but wants to make healthy products designed to keep you running optimally so that you can pursue you career goals, hobbies, and have more time for your friends and family really makes me want to support his cause. It's versatility. Add it to a salad with healthy greens and a little bit of salad dressing, or eat it over rice like sushi, or eat it right out of shelf stable pouch if you're short on time. Whichever way you decide to eat it you can't go wrong!I'm not saying you should buy Itsumo tuna in coconut oil. I'm saying you should by a few cases because it's so good you will go through it faster than you think.I definitely recommend Itsumo’s tuna in coconut oil for anyone looking for a food that is healthy, high in protein, all natural, super easy to carry around to snack on, and taste great. It's the best!

Delicious, pricey but worth it for a treat
I really love the taste of this tuna, but it is expensive and the packaging is really difficult to scrape all of the tuna out of the pouches! I have bought it more than a couple of times but if I want to make a nice size bowl to have for a couple of days I started to think about how much it actually cost for that 1 bowl of tuna fish salad!!!I will buy it again but will probably use it when I have a friend come for lunch and then it will be a real treat for us!! Cheaper than going out to lunch and I make it with carrots, black sliced olives , capers and green peas!!!Then I sit it on a bed of lettuce with a nice fresh baguette !!! It’s a beautiful looking lunch so I’ll save it for those type of days(I ll keep the traditional cans in my cabinet for my husband!!!!

You WILL NOT believe this......
This is the best tuna I've EVER eaten. I got so sick of buying canned tuna, only to open it up and find gray specs in some sort of goop, with a stench that had to immediately be covered with mayonnaise. Disgusting. I'd given up on tuna. Tried the "albacore" also -- better but still unappetizing. I'd so many other fish to choose from, I gave up tuna and moved on ...... until I saw your wild ahi tuna. I was intrigued and, despite my better judgment, I order 2 packets. OMG! It was so fresh, tender; tasted a little bit like the sea with such a delicate balance of coconut oil. Mayonnaise? Nyet!! The flavor is so good that I eat it by itself; spread over a toasted slice of Ezekiel bread; in a small green or salad niçois salad; on a sandwich with thinly sliced cucucmber and tomato, and mung bean sprouts. I'm HOOKED! If I could afford it, I'd order a couple of cases. Now, for me, tuna has become a delicacy. I treat myself 2-3 times/month and it's something I look forward to. 10 years ago, my friends would have thought I'd gone insane. I've recommended your tuna to all of them, and will do so if anyone asks me about tuna. It'll be a customer from now on!!! ;-)

Mislabeled package results in $40 single package of tuna
Love this tuna, its a bit pricey but completely worth it. However last order of a package 10 x 2.5 oz pouches came with only one pouch. Looks it was labeled wrong and item is not eligible for a return. Amazon did process a refund, hoping this was just a fluke incident

Ok, but no longer worth the price
Now that this is $5/2.5 oz pack, it's just not worth it anymore. That's $31.96/lb! For that price, I'm buying fresh or frozen fish.Sad because it was a nice snack. Easy to take on the go. (I've literally eaten this from the bag.) Best with your own seasonings, but the coconut oil gives a nice flavor.

GREATEST IN A PINCH, GREAT FOR A HEALTHY SNACK
I SHOULD BE ON A TV COMMERCIAL FOR THIS PRODUCT! IMAGINE A FAT GUY FISHING IN A KAYAK AND HIS LUNCH IS ACROSS THE LAKE IN THE TRUCK. IN HIS TACKLE BOAT ARE TWO PACKETS OF TUNA. HE GOBBLES THEM UP, AVOIDS PADDLING BACK AND THEN CAUGHT A 7 LB SMALL MOUTH BASS. THE REAL KICKER IS LATER I STARTED WONDERING JUST HOW OLD THAT TUNA WAS AND I CHECK THE MANUFACTURING DATE WAS 2017! SO 4 YEARS LATER IT TASTE GREAT, FILLED A HOLE IN MY BELLY AND I DIDNT GET SICK (I WAS A TINY BIT WORRIED WHEN I SAW IT WAS 5 YEARS OLD. I WISH I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE POUCH TO ATTACK BUT YOU CAN TAKE MY WORD THIS STUFF IS GREAT FOR YOU FISHING, GOLFING AND AIR PLANE FOOD IS DISGUSTING EVEN FOR A FAT GUY. THANKS ITSUMO TUNA COMPANY AND IF YOU WANT ME TO DO A COMMERCIAL I AM AVAILABLE. GIVE ME A SHOUT, KEITH M.

Tastes great, a bit pricey
Compared to premium canned tuna which is usually also 5 oz, this is a bit pricey. I can usually get canned for under $2 at Safeway, Lucky, and Trader Joe's. The coconut oil does give it a uniquely tasty flavor when used in tuna salad, which is primarily what we've been doing during Covid SIP, tuna salad for lunch a couple days each week. Make a batch using 2 packages and it's enough for 2 people to have lunch 2x. So, convenient and tasty, just a wee bit pricier than the competition. Of course, if you like the coconut oil aspect, then this is the one for you regardless of price.
