BrotherCA2318 DR 210CL Drum Kit

My brother laser printer continued to give a message, "Replace Drum", over a period of time. But, I was able to continue to print anyway. So, after some time of continuously getting that message , I researched online with my correct model number and found the drum units at Amazon. I was able to order all 4 drums in one package; black & 3 colors. I was still able to print so I decided not to change out the drums until I knew the printer would no longer print without changing at least one of them. This went on for a long time, until one day recently, the yellow drum unit gave the message again and nothing would print. I tried replacing the drum unit for the yellow but it would not fit!!!! So, after trying over & over again to install it, I stopped. Then, I tried to print, and all was fine!!!! I know I'll need to eventually change the drum units, but NOW I have an entire box of units that will NOT fit my laser printer! These were not cheap. I know that when I ordered them, I researched to make sure they would fit my brother printer BUT now when I go to the order list, it says, they may not fit! It's too late now, but I wish I had tried to change them out a long time ago even though I didn't need them at the time. I suppose brother sets up their machines to warn you early which it was WAY too early because I'm still printing now without changing anything. It's the same way with toner, messages pop up but if you take the toner cartridge out and shake it & reinstall, it will usually keep printing for a long time. If I changed toner every time it called for it, I would be wasting the toner that I already have in the machine!!!! Anyway, I've lost over $130 since I cannot use these DRUM UNITS!!!!

A spot appeared when printing. After chasing down myriad solutions, most of which didn't work at all, and the couple that did, only sort of worked, I realized the drum on black had been damaged. Had to be replaced. Not wanting to deal with this for any other color, I replaced them all and the print looks great now. Like new. They are machine parts and to wear out over time.

But the Drum count cannot be reset (according to Brother) because I changed the drum before the drum count said it needed it..... There were about 10,000 pages on a 15,000 page drum So now, I will get a premature "change the drum" message in about 5,000 pages. I hope I remember...

I only had one problem with these ink cartridges. The black color had leaked a little out in the package and I had to clean it before I put it in the printer. And the cost was too much. I could buy a new printer for 240$

I decided to replace my drums. I did check the life and the OEM installed drums were only 80% utilized. These have something like a 15000 page life. Meh. I got em really cheap on a warehouse deal. So worth it to wring a few more years out of my 10 year old brother laser printer.

Very pleased - these drums are the OEM parts for my model of printer. I have bought Amazon open box before and felt the risk was low - as it turned out, these look brand new. Put the first one into my printer and solved the print issue immediately. Very pleased.

I did not like the fact that there were no instructions on how to reset the drum counter after replacing the drums. I continued to get error messages after replacing the drums. I finally found the answer in an online printer instruction manual.

Its OEM at a price that is unbelievable. Great Brother quality, great price especially compared to locally. On some other color lasers we have had the drums were so expensive it was easier to trash the printer and get a new one. These are just right. I am usually an HP guy for printers but man, my last two Brother color lasers have been great and cheap to operate. We do a lot of printing, especially color as we home-school using classical model and meet with other like minded families to study, debate, mock trial together.

そのままでは使用できませんでした。ふたを閉める際に日本の規格と海外品の差別がありました。トナー本体の認識ソケットをニッパーにてカットしたら問題ありませんでした。皆さんが気が付けば良いのですが、ちょっとした案内があれば問題ありません。トナー本体の色調等は全く問題ありませんでした。

Printing

Quand ça n'imprime plus.. ou que l'impression devient pâle.Même si on change de cartouche d'encre et que ça ne change rien...Il faut de nouveaux tambours. C'est moins cher qu'une nouvelle imprimante.

Ce produit est très pratique et c'est exactement ce à quoi on s'attend! J'apprécie que ce soit un paquet de plusieurs, ça évite de devoir en commander trop souvent.

Replaced toners and tried for 2 hours to get printer to work. I'm stuck. The message Replace Toner and the red exclamation mark and the annoying noise won't go away. Still unable to print.
