It’s absolutely tiny 😭
So I ordered 2 sizes bigger than normal. I’m a size 14-16 but this is tiny so I ordered an XL. I am so so disappointed that yet again I am too big for this dress. I can close it - just and it’s so much hassle to send back because I can’t afford to buy another until this is returned and I am credited back the money - cos it will be sold out by then. I am not huge. But this is ridiculous. Instead of a size 16 I’d need a 22-24. I won’t but anything else from Making the Cut now. I am so very very disapppointed.The dress is very very heavy cotton with no stretch. It’s more like a denim and it’s beautifully made. Anyhoo. It’s no I use unless I get liposuction and a gastric sleeve.

Sizing is off but a gorgeous dress
I bought the L first as I'm around a 16. Ended up returning that as too small. Bought the XL and that just fits, its a lovely dress but don't trust the size chart!

Great cut and quality
This is a fabulous dress; good quality cotton and a fabulous cut. I cannot fault the pattern cutting on this ; it's actually cut properly for a larger bust and sits properly with no gaping which is incredibly rare for a shirtdress in a larger size.

Misleading size chart disappoints.
I misjudged the reviews on this one.Often people buy by normal size without looking at actual measurements - when I looked at the chart I saw that the size I would need was 3” bigger than I am but figured that would be ok.The dress was actually 9” - that’s NINE INCHES - smaller.Which made it six inches too small.Totally misleading, I would suggest no one over a size 16 should purchase the dress.It’s so unfortunate that the promise of larger sizes which is soooo rare - should end up being not the case.Unless this was a bad batch - it is pretty unforgivable.Such a shame too as I felt such an emotional attachment having seen Gary’s journey and story.

Gorgeous dress sizing is way off
Order my size based on the chart. The dress was probably 6 sizes smaller than stated! Beautiful design but poorly made. Also quite cheap material for the price.

Love this dress. Nice heavy cotton and well made. Am a size 14 and got the Large. Fits perfectly.
