Once agin your taken on a roller coaster of emotions some quite graphic and almost sickening but part of the real world centuries ago I feel. You desperately want to read and read to find out next surprise but then realise your ploughing through at top speed such is the fascination of Smiths tales.

Wilber Smith cannot fault

I have enjoyed every Wilbur Smith book I have read but my favourites are the Courtney family series. I have nearly finished this one and it is another great read.

The book was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. Very pleased.

I always reserve one star in case something better comes along, but this book is several good stories in one. I almost put in a spoiler whilst writing this, but it is a good read on various levels - and NO BAD LANGUAGE!

I have been an avid reader of Wilbur Smith for decades. He has always been one of my fave authors.Im not sure why but I didnt find this book as good a all his previous books I have read.Maybe the author had a bad day, I will still read his books and hopefully enjoy them like all his other work.

Epic story telling from one of the masters Wilbur Smith.I can honestly say I have loved every book I've read by this author.He manages to bring the child out in me as I delve into characters and stories he creates.This is a smashing book,please read it and enjoy!

Also found this very readable, even with two authors involved.

Usually Wilber’s books are exciting from page to page. This one gave a lot of background information before arriving at the usually thrilling scenes of any novel. I’d say this was total enjoyment and this is my second reading of this book.

well satisfying

At the start boring but soon caught with action and at the end it terminated into a visual readers delight. Loved it and will recommend my friend’s too
