Drone Strobe Lights Review - I Am Very Impressed With These Strobes
These drone strobe lights are impressively bright and significantly enhance visibility for my DJI Mini 3. The white anti-collision strobe on top is so intense that I need to be cautious when activating it to avoid temporary flash blindness. The red and green navigation strobes are easily visible from at least three-quarters of a mile at night, and I believe they could be seen from even farther, though I havenโt tested beyond this range as Iโm still gaining experience with my sUAS. During daytime flights, these strobes help maintain visual line of sight (VLOS), reducing the risk of momentarily losing track of the droneโa common issue for many pilots. The battery life is solid when the lights are set to strobe mode, lasting significantly longer than when set to steady. However, the red strobe seems to drain the battery faster in steady mode, so I keep extra strobes on hand for longer flights. The 3D-printed clips that secure the strobes to the drone arms are lightweight and hold the lights firmly in place, though they can be slightly challenging to open during attachment. Despite this minor inconvenience, the clips do their job effectively. Overall, these strobe lights are a worthwhile investment for improving drone visibility and safety, offering excellent performance for their price. Fly Safe!

Very bright strobe light that helps with night compliance and daytime visibility
These lights work great. I bought them for drone use, and they are plenty bright enough to help meet FAA visibility guidelines for night flying. They also make the drone much easier to see during the day, which was a nice bonus. The brightness is the standout feature here. For something this small, they are impressively visible. That extra visibility makes it easier to keep track of the drone, especially when conditions are less than ideal or when the drone is farther out than usual. Overall, I have been happy with them. If you want a drone strobe that is bright, simple, and genuinely useful both at night and during the day, this has been a good purchase.

Bright, Tight, and Much More than Alright
This light is super bright in the night sky. I've been using it for several months now and I was surprised when I realized that it's easier to spot and track my Mini 3 Pro drone at night than it is during the day. If you mount it on top (as you should per night flight regulations) you will be able to see your drone when it's not directly above you. I would suggest getting other, smaller and less intense lights to go on the undercarriage of your drone (I got the red and green Acrotor button-like mini lights for the underside and they work pretty well in most situations). One drawback is that the battery lasts for about 1.5 to two of my flying sessions on average and then has to be charged. The charging port is a bit finnicky and it works best with the provided cable, but I did get it to work with another cable I have a couple of times. I don't pay close attention to the charging time, but I feel like it's less than an hour or so from fully drained to full charge. Update: I was looking for a second small yet very bright light to put on the underside of my drone to better keep and eye on it in the dark (but also during the day and as the sun is going down) that wouldn't add much weight to my drone. After doing a lot of research, I couldn't find anything better, brighter, or lighter than this Vifly light. From my research, there's just no other light that is as bright at only 6 grams total weight. Now I use a Vifly light on top of my Mini 3 Pro that works wonders for night flights as a required anti-collision strobe light, plus I have a Vifly under my drone that helps me track it in the sky even when it's directly above me. I love that I can set the my underside light to either white, red, or green light (tip: there is a strobe mode where all three colors flash at the same time and I found that this mode is the most visible when the sun is still out to track my relatively small drone in the sky much better ). Overall, I highly recommend these tiny but powerful lights.

Better than ARC for a fraction of the cost
Flown ARC lights on my drone almost since day one. The lights are used for every flight, any time of the day or night, so I need brightness good enough for daylight. ARC met that. But these lights exceed it in multiple ways. Vifly has a true winner in my opinion. So how is it better? First, cost. These are currently about a third the price of the comparable ARC product. But they outperform it with more LEDs, multiple color options, more brightness, and it uses USB C for charging! Yes! The ARC still uses MicroUSB and is nearly the only thing left in my life still using that boat anchor plug. Vifly gets it. USB-C is a major convenience that would still win even if Vifly wasn't cheaper and better, which it also is. I'm not sure how I did it, but my Vifly is currently flashing three white LEDs plus a red and green one all at the same time. This is exactly what I always wanted! Port and starboard indicators plus anti collision! This is the light I would make for myself if I had the skill. But Vifly already did it. And it's good. Cons: some people don't seem to like the 3M mounting tape supplied with the light and I agree. It's not enough. But I already use another 3M Extreme version of the same thing with all my drone lights and never had one issue. It is outstandingly strong and it's possible to suspend the entire drone off just a tiny patch of that stuff. I've also accidentally stuck the drone to a fixed object with that fastener and it took every bit of power the drone had to lift off. It was a real battle. Yet the lights pop on and off when needed with no effort. 3M Extreme is very highly recommended. If you are using anything else and the fasteners make you nervous, they should. Upgrade your choice and the problem is solved.

Light works great! Velcro not so much
Bad part 1st, my only complaint is. The adhesive on the fuzzy side of the velcro was not sticky I had to use glue to make it stick to the strobe. Other then that the light is super bright I could see the strobe from 2,500 ft away at a altitude of 200 ft clearly. Vifly should just make the mount and light combo a standard also please make a mount for the dji air 3.

A company you can trust
โญโญโญโญโญ Excellent product and outstanding customer service I purchased the VIFLY Drone Strobe Light for my drone and have been very impressed with both the product and the company behind it. The strobe is bright, well-made, easy to install, and gives me extra confidence when flying, especially during night operations where visibility is important. I did have one unit start acting a little funny. I contacted the company, and after my return was confirmed, they immediately took care of it. I had a replacement arrive the very next day! A good product is important, but what really separates a great company is how they treat their customers when something goes wrong. VIFLY showed excellent customer service and earned my trust. I highly recommend the VIFLY Drone Strobe Light and this company. Great product, great support, and a company you should feel confident doing business with. ๐๐

You Need This to Legally Fly at Night
FAA rule (Part 107) states that if you fly your drone at night, you must have at least one flashing anti-collision light, that is visible for 3 statute miles, installed on your your drone. It must flash between 40-100 cycles (flashes)/minute. If you don't, and you fly after sunset or before sunrise, you can be fined. The VIFLY drone strobe satisfies this law. It's been tested and it exceeds this requirement. It's visible 360ยฐ around it's vertical axis. I've put the strobe on the top of my DJI MINI 3 PRO. This is the best place for an anti-collision strobe light. There seems to be some confusion about the purpose of the strobe and where to install it on a drone. The strobe must be seen by OTHER AIRCRAFT. It's NOT there for you to see your drone at night. Other aircraft, like planes and helicopters, are going to be flying above the 400 foot maximum drone flight height, not under or beside your drone. Therefore, you should place a strobe on the top. You can certainly put more lights on your drone; I'm going to. But I wanted to demonstrate the proper placement to satisfy the FAA and the reason for the law. The light has 3 modes: steady on, slow flash, and strobe. It has 3 colors, red, green, and white. You can set the lights in any combination. To be in compliance, you have to put a light in the strobe mode. I've set my strobe to flash GREEN. The rods and cones in our eyes are photoreceptors (they see light). The cones detect color. The cones have the hardest time seeing red. They are MORE SENSITIVE TO GREEN LIGHT, than white, especially when the green is mixed with yellow. When I install the other lights, I'll decide on the other colors, but for FAA compliance, green is best. VIFLY supplies you with quality 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Tape; it's the type of tape with plastic teeth on both pieces. It's got super strong adhesive on both strips, and is resistant to chemicals and extreme changes in temperature. I used my hair dryer on warm to gently warm each strip once I placed them. The bond is so strong, I can pick up the entire drone by the light. VIFLY also supplies you with a USB C cord to recharge the light. The light charged up quickly when I got it. It weighs 5.7g. The DJI MINI 3 PRO weighs 248g, with battery, which means one light puts it over the FAA mandated 250g license rule. I don't plan on flying much at night, and when I do it'll be way below the 400ft ceiling, and on my property. I won't fly with the light on the drone otherwise. The VIFLY strobe is a quality light, and if you ever fly at night, you shouldn't slip on this important aftermarket upgrade.

Be wary when charging
Great super bright light , BUT be very wary when charging , it will ONLY charge using the provided white cable , NOT a usb C which also fits in the socket, it looks like usb but isn't usb c . I was thinking it was broken as it failed to work on the 3rd attempt just got a led flash after holding the button then noticed the charge led wasn't coming on either , dug out the original cable , hey presto working again.

AMAZING
It's a very bright strobe, I found these small lithium batteries don't last, but I brought this almost a year ago and no problems, highly recommend!

Light & Bright!
Light & Bright! Have purchased other strobes and these work best for my needs. Low profile, light weight and the strobe flash sequence aligns with anti-collision strobes on commercial aircraft . Purchased 3 additional units for backup (redundancy). Thank you VIFLY

Great strobe light, compact and powerful
Love them ... bought two of them to use as position lights on my drone (alike planes) : one green strobe facing front on front right arm and one red strobe facing rear on rear left arm. It then eases up much to identify from ground which direction is drone facing in flight when at some distance. It also helps to see drone a little further in the sky at day. Did not try them at night, but seeing how powerful are the lighting, it surely brights clear in the sky and does what it is supposed to do : anti-collision strobe light.
