REDSHIFT Cruise Control Drop Bar Grips for Gravel Bike

I recently purchased the Cruise Control bike handlebar grips for my drop bar gravel bike, and I’m thoroughly impressed! Went with the full package and found installation straight forward for anyone familiar with wrapping bars. Only been out on one gravel ride so far with them. Both the upper and lower sections were equally resilient to the chatter of off road packed dirt/crushed stone. No movement detected, the top bar felt especially nice to rest on, gave the bars a high quality build feel when sitting up. I paired this product with sram tape, as usual had a good amount of access to trim off. Had I not installed lower grips too (which lets the wrap start higher up the bar) then I suspect regular bar wrap would have been short. I like both the upper and lower additions to my gravel bike, I’d consider adding these to future gravel builds as well.

Nice addition, mounts quickly and secure, Wrapping with thicker or padded bar tape can be tricky, make sure you purchase one with enough length. If you are adding the drop bar grips, standard length is plenty,

I don't know how my hands survived all those years of riding bikes with drop bars before I put these on. These with some nice thick bar tape make those long rides a breeze. Can't recommend them enough.

The 2 sided tape does not hold well without taping it down. the hardness of the rubber pulls away from the bar as it goes around the tight corner of the new bar bought from Redshift. Once taped down the new grip holds fine. Then comes the wrapping of the bar. I did not buy the extra long tape from Redshift, so the standard tape falls a little short. Now the good news: the grips do make holding the bar much more comfortable!! I am glad to have them even with the difficulties mentioned above.

I installed it and got handle bars taped. Rode 25 miles and my hands did not go to sleep. Very satisfied with product

It is very comfortable when you go for a 100 + ride. The material is good. Description is clear and easy to understand. I recommend a stretchable bar tape on the handle.

Voici donc une solution pour récupérer un peu de confort sur nos bicyclettes, facilement installée sur mon Gravel. Un peu cher pour du caoutchouc, mais très belle finition avec possibilité de réglages personnalisés.

I've never really used the drops on my Domane SL7 road bike as they are harsh on the hands. However with the spring having sunny outdoor riding days but very gusty winds, riding in the drops became essential. I took a chance on the Redshift Cruise Control drop grips due to various positive reviews and comments. Well those good reviews were spot on as I now can spend 80% plus time in the drops which certainly helped with the wind (your much more aero). In addition my average power improved. I'll assume the power improvement is due to a position change and aero gains. As Redshift suggests you can install the grips by carefully cutting into your existing bar tape. I did this so I didn't unnecessarily waste a new roll of bar tape if I didn't like the new grips. I'm definitely a convert for this road bike accessory. Adding ride comfort and a new sustainable riding position is a win-win for my dollar.
