These Hollister Adapt 2” Flat Barrier Rings have made such a difference. They are easy to apply, mold well, and help create a much better seal around my ostomy bag. Having a reliable barrier is so important, and these give me extra confidence and peace of mind throughout the day. They are comfortable against the skin, stay in place well, and help prevent leaks and irritation. It’s a simple product, but it makes a big impact when you depend on ostomy supplies every day. Very pleased with the quality and would definitely recommend to others who use an ostomy system.

These rings are not as good as they used to be or either I got a bad bunch. They are very sticky, can’t be shaped and the first time using one I had a leak the next day. These are what I’ve always used and never had a problem. I don’t know if Hollister changed the product or what but I’m not happy with these at all. They don’t even feel like the same thing anymore.

BEWARE! I have been using these barrier rings for 10+ years and there is a new formulation/materials that has ruined them. It is now completely different than the moldable wax and more like a jelly rubber band. Doesn't hold shape when you form it and bounces back to original shape, deforms the wafer, and adheres poorly. After using the previous formulation (same sku 7805) for a decade and confidently getting 3-5 days of leak-free wear, my first time using the new type I was leaking in barely 4 hours of normal activity throughout the house and thankfully not somewhere in public. I am so disappointed and frustrated, will return what I can, and likely never purchase these again. Do better, Hollister. Instead of savings pennies by changing something that didn't need it, you should have kept making the great product you had.

I usually get these through a supplier using Medicare/Tricare, but I needed to have a few extras for traveling. These rings are wide enough that I typically cut hem in half and get two bags use out of one ring. To be clear, I cut one ring in half which creates two "U" shapes. Then I cut the first "U" shaped piece into two "U" shapes with my curved scissors which is enough to get around the 1&1/4" diameter stoma. (Steve, I call him) Then I use the second "U" upon the next bag change. I usually change bags every 48 hours.

I was having trouble making my urostomy bag stick. I was forced to change every day or two. These Adapt Cera rings weren’t cutting it. I bought Skinister and it helped a little but what really worked was buying an ostomy incontinence brief $49 and wearing it for several hours after a change.

An excellent product that adds much safety to the ostomy experience. A little pricey but well worth it

This product seals great and is very pliable. I've tried other brands, but was not able to make them last for more than 3 to 4 days. The Hollister 7805 normally lasts me 7 days. That is a savings over almost all the other brands. I use a 1 piece pouch because I think they are more comfortable, but I have also used this ring with the Hollister 2 piece pouch with similar success, but would normally get 5 days before needing to change. I think the issue was the stiffness of the flange which helped it pull away from the skin over time. Great product and I recommend them.
