NRG InnovationsRST-006GM Reinforced Steering Wheel (350mm Sport Steering Wheel (3" Deep) - Gun Metal Spokewith Round holes/Black Leather)

This NRG is the new and improved version of my 13+ year old NRG wheel. The old one was starting to fall apart (the cousioning was clumping no structural damage) and after being in 5 cars, it was time to retire it. So I went with the best bang for my $, another NRG. The position of the deep corn and quick release make my NA miata so much more comfortable. The wheel is in exactly the right position mazda should have designed. It is a must have for NA and NB drivers. If you want clout and must have an Italian brand, go ahead. If you like value, aren't a name-brand-snob, and need an actual safe steering wheel just get a NRG steering wheel.

MUCH improved rigidity over the previous generation wheels. Unlike my last NRG wheel (over 7 years ago), this reinforced wheel feels SUPER solid! In order to make this wheel flex, you'll have to exert unreasonable amounts of force on it. Love the look and feel. The 'leather' feels grippy and awesome, all while never getting too hot in the South Florida sun. The diameter of the rim is just perfect for me, as is the placement of the spokes for elbow on the window sill cruising. Finish is pretty good, although it must be said that the holes in the spokes aren't chamfered, so the edges are sharp. Also, some of the stitching has minor frayed edges. Those are all minor things though. My only problem with the wheel is the horn button; it feels REALLY cheap and mine came with an inside scratch that noticeably strikes through NRG logo. Again, this is something minor, as the horn button is replaceable.A GREAT wheel overall, especially for the money! Awesome improvement NRG!
