Alkalol burns your nasal at first, but feels very refreshing after you get used to its burning sensation. Adding salt to Alkalol lessens and smooths out the burning sensation. I have been using Alkalol for many years, long enough to not feel the burning sensation, but I still add salt to it. This is a cheap and good enough enough salt to be used as a base to mix with Alkalol. Update: the price has doubled since I last bought it, so it is no longer the cheapest neti salt.
