I just want to ensure that these are the same bulbs that can be use in a 87 ford f150 instrument cluster. I know that sockets must be ordered as well

They fit the same sockets, but the 194LLs allegedly last longer than the standard bulbs.

They last about as long as any incandescent bulb, depending on how much you use it. I would recommend getting LED replacement bulbs. They last much longer, are brighter and use less power.
