Excellent hand shower, reasonably good pressure, big diverter
I've been using this shower for about 3 or 4 days now and I really like it. I picked Ana Bath because of the other positive reviews and because I was looking for something of better than average quality. It has met my expectations. The unit was very easy and uncomplicated to install with common tools.A few of the reviews have complained about the diverter not mounting solidly to the shower arm. I found this was not true at all. It mounts very solid, and I have had no trouble with it swiveling or moving in any way. You will, of course, need to use a wrench to tighten it down. There's no need to over-do it and over-tighten it, just give it the usual 'feels good' tightness with a wrench. I recommend using a crescent wrench rather than pliers, you'll be easy on the finish. The diverter is large, which is both a positive and a negative. On the positive side, it has a distinctive click, and a large easy to turn handle. It has a quality feel to it. It has three positions: fixed shower, hand shower, and both. On the negative side, the bigger the diverter, the further it moves your fixed shower forward and down. This one moves it about 3.5", so if you're a really tall person, or if your shower arm is really low, you might need to look at a different style of shower arm. For such a large diverter, the channel where the water flows through it is surprisingly small. I expect the diverter does reduce your flow a little bit, but I have not verified how much. The part of the diverter that serves as a bracket works well. I haven't had any problems with it turning or swiveling or moving in any way.The hose has a quality metal feel to it. It doesn't tend to tangle up or get into trouble like a cheap plastic hose. Like some of the other reviewers, I wouldn't have minded if it had been another foot longer. It's not that it's too short, but slightly longer would have added just a little more versatility. The hand shower has a quality metal feel to it. I don't know whether it is metal or not (it's not magnetic, I checked). It could be plastic with a decent quality plating on it. I just don't know and can't tell without cutting into it, which I'm not going to do. The point is, it looks very good in the brushed nickel finish. The spray patterns are nice. It has three main settings and two settings that are combinations. The flow is pretty good. With my water pressure (55psi) I can use both heads at the same time. There is a small drop in pressure when using both heads, as is expected, but they are both usable. The flow restrictors are easily removed from the hand shower and the fixed shower.I'd buy this again without hesitation.

The anti-clog feature got my interest but the pressure, design, features, and value wowed me.
You don’t have to live with lesser shower heads. That’s the lesson I’ve learned. You think a great shower head isn’t a game changer? Think again. You get a great shower with this Ana Bath 5-inch anti-clog high-pressure 3-way shower head / handheld sprayer.First of all, I’m very particular with a lot of things including shower heads. I HAVE to have a handheld option along with the fixed shower head. My wife only uses the fixed shower head. So you have the option if you’re like us. This product does a great job with both the fixed and the handheld features. I’ve only had it for a few weeks now, but I was sold after one shower. This thing has so many spray settings. I’m sure most people use only one or two. I’ve found at least 3 I really like. And what I REALLY like is that you have a full set of options on BOTH the fixed head and the handheld sprayer. I like to start the handheld out at the regular full use soft spray, then two clicks counterclockwise and you’ve got a more focused spray option. There are multiple soft and focused spray options if you’re THAT particular, but even I find there are more options than I’d need. And it’s so easy to switch the valve from one to the other, plus you get a nice audible click when you change it.Now, yes, the pressure is great, but of course that depends on several variables, like the water pressure in your home.I would recommend removing the pressure regulator prior to installation (the excellent instruction sheet provides instructions on how to do that). In my case, we also had a regulator on the pipe coming out of the wall, so we removed that as well while installing this shower head. And man, the pressure is just wonderful.I might have been able to install it myself but I decided to hire a handyman who was doing other jobs, and I watched him install it and it took him like 10-15 minutes total including removing the old shower head. So I’m still rating installation as easy. It’s got a little junction box thing you don’t normally see but that works really well.I’m not sure what it’s made of, I swore someone said plastic, but it’s got a solid feel, it’s sturdy, so you’d never know it if it is plastic. It’s stayed perfectly in place the whole time (I saw a reviewer note it didn’t feel all that sturdy so there may have been something missed during installation for that person).Brushed nickel goes great with our other bathroom brushed nickel fixtures.I’ve seen shower heads that cost a lot more than this, and I can’t imagine spending more money when all you need is this product. I mean, not only does it provide great pressure, lots of spray options, both a fixed and a handheld sprayer, but you can wipe away the calcium buildup! That’s the feature that initially attracted me but it’s the functionality that has me wowed. This is a great product and a great value. You just can’t go wrong.

No previous experience needed
Have never installed a shower head in the past, didn't realize how easy it would be with the Ana Bath shower head. Took me a total of 10 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. Instructions are clear and would recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and easy way to upgrade their shower head!

Nice, stylish shower head, although a little finicky after install.
I purchased the Ana Bath SS5450CBN shower system to finalize a total bathroom renovation for my wife’s bathroom. We chose it based on style and function, along with the generally positive reviews we read on Amazon. The shower heads are a good size and offer five different spray settings. The diverter is large and easy to operate while taking a shower. The hose is a long 60 inches and flexes well without curling up, like some cheaper hoses. My wife is very small, maybe five foot tall without shoes. She wanted a shower handle she could reach easily and it had to have a hose that was long enough to negotiate at respectable distances. She wanted some mobility with the handled shower head while in the shower. The Ana Bath SS5450CBN offered this ability, although she does have to reach a bit to get the handle back in its holster. She likes the larger shower heads and the spray volume from each.Installation was a bit tricky. In theory, it should be very simple, but we did experience what other reviewers complained about, subtle dripping and leaking following installation. I had a plumber friend of mine come to the house and fed him dinner and he fixed it. He used some pipe dope on the threads and carefully tightened each fitting. This cleared up the problem that nylon tape was unable to fix. After my friend fixed it, he asked me not to show his wife the shower. “If you do, she’s going to want one also.” His wife and my wife are best friends, so it was only a matter of time before she saw it. When she did, she loved it and bugged him to buy one for her also.So the Ana Bath shower system kind of sells itself. Once installed, it works great and has nice features. Its many spray patterns and generous water footprint are nice. It’s easy to handle and operate and the sprayer hose doesn’t bind up like some cheaper models. We’ve had the shower system for over a year now and haven’t had any further problems with it. We’d definitely recommend it to others. It’s a nice product at a reasonable price.
