It should be fine on the vinyl but may be hard to remove from the fabric. I'd ask the manufacturer if there is any chance it would change the color of the vinyl. I use mine on walls metal, and wood furniture with no problems. It's actually hard to remove the piece after it's been secured for a long time. Great if you have kids or dogs :)

No. It’s not for hanging things. If you hang something by some other means, like a nail, you can put a dab or two of this putty behind it to keep it from shifting and hanging crookedly, but it won’t support any weight.

I’ve never used it on exterior walls, but it is very strong, and I think it would stand up under rain or wind. I have used it in the bathroom. I use it to anchor corners of pictures that are attached with picture hangers.

Things do not move

I bought this to secure a napkin holder, change cup, and a coue of nick nacks in my RV. They have not moved yet. So now I just used it to secure a plant to a ledge. It seems pretty save now.
