DevaCurl Arc Angel Control Styling Gel, 12oz

You have to use a lot of product and wait forever for it to dry in your hair. But when it does dry and you shake your hair to fluff it looks amazing!!! It last all day. And I found that if you spritz with water the next day your curls pop right back. Another huge downside is that if you have dry, thin or weak hair this product will make your hair fall out more. I used this product only a few times and each time I washed it out, a lot of hair came out too. So I won't use it anymore. I use Bella Curls now. Same effect and no hair falling out.

I have heard a lot of good reviews for DevaCurl. So, after watching a video of girl with beautiful curly hair; I decided to give this one product a try. I needed a product to hold the shape of my curl and keep it. Also keep it from fizzing. My hair is definitely prone to frizz. I have fine hair and plenty of it and it is a little on the dry side. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I washed my hair in the evening and let it air dry for an hour; then dried it with a hair dryer to finish it. I slept on it all night and woke up with my curls still in tact. No Frizz!!! I showered the next morning, which will cause my hair to get damp and wet in some places. Still No Frizz!!! I am planning on purchasing a few of the other products I feel I need for my type of hair. I am very surprised it worked so well. I have tried so many other products in the past. I have chosen from expensive lines to inexpensive lines and haven't found one that works this well. This is a good size bottle so for the price it's not very expensive.

OK. First off, I love Arc Angel Hair gel by Deva Curl. I have long spiral curls and this is the only stuff that works.I have ordered this item before 8 times and never had a problem but the last bottle I received was definitely not the right gel. I immediately noticed the difference in consistency and scent. I thought they must have watered it down. But perhaps it's the wrong gel in the wrong bottle? Arc angel has a bit of stickiness to it and it's not as watery as what I received. I'm sending it back. But now I am uncertain of how I'm going to order this gel.If the seller is checking these reviews and can explain what happend I might take another chance on purchasing it again.I have seen other recent reviews with the same issue.Hope they can get me the right gel.The review stars reflect this purchase and not Deva Curl Arc Angel Gel ( the real stuff) that gets five stars.But it wasn't what I was sent so be careful who the seller is I guess.I just reordered the same item for a few dollars more from Pharmapacks who have been good in the past with other products.UPDATE! Received the correct Arc Angel Gel from Pharmapacks through Amazon. Could tell right away this was genuine Deva Curl Arc Angel Gel. It's the correct thickness and scent. So happy I returned that other watery gel that the first seller sent me and was able to get the real deal. Will make sure to check the seller in future and buy from them again.Excellent gel if you get the real one.

I have been wanting to write a review for months because this product was a fake...or more likely the real thing but really watered down. I have been using the arc angel gel for many years and this one was a MUCH more liquidy consistency. I mixed it with the new Deva Ultra Defining gel which I'd recently bought from a salon and had found too thick and that seemed to do the trick. But now that i've finished the bottle I won't ever buy it again on Amazon or at least not from the seller "The Best Deals in the USA"

I wanted to love this - so much.Day 1-my hair looked AMAZING. My waves (2b/2c) looked flawless. I applied like it says - soaking wet hair, used a generous amount. Didn’t touch my hair until it was totally dry. Slept on the cast so it broke up while I slept and the next morning my hair was amazing - no frizz, waves were (mostly) touchable and soft and in tact.Day 2- this is where everything fell apart. Although I sleep on a satin pillowcase and am very delicate with my hair, my Day 1 beautiful hair turned into a matted, straw-like mess. Untouchable, straw-feeling, tangled up, matted disaster. While the top layer had some half-defined waves, the bottom of my hair was so disheveled it looked as though I hadn’t brushed it or washed it in years.Lest I ATTEMPT a day 3- it’s only a worse version of Day 2.I tried 3-4 attempts to see if maybe I was doing something wrong. Made sure my hair was very conditioned and brushed through as I always had before DevaCurl, but unfortunately, this happened every time. Even with less product.I’m so sad, I really loved my Day 1 hair. I had to return the product and search for something new :(

I LOVE this gel! I’m new to the curly girl method and Ive seen that a lot of people are constantly trying new products and switching it up but honestly I like this gel I might just stick with it. It is not sticky in between my hands, the scent is not too strong but does leave your hair smelling fresh. I have low porosity hair and use only about a dime size on each side of my head (I have short hair) and that’s enough for me. I use a diffuser and it creates a nice light cast (if I used more i believe it would create more of a cast). And then I scrunch out the crunch using praying hands and it leaves my hair bouncy with nice hold all day but doesn’t even look like I have product in it! Also note, I decided on this deva gel because on their website it stated it would be good for low porosity hair, so I would suggest looking at that to find the one that fits you.

This gives a similar result as the foam mousse from the 2000's for having curly hair minus the crunch. However, it does not last all day. There are other products that do a better job and feel better during application. Compared to the Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream... this product is inferior for a similar price although it may work better for people with curlier hair. My hair is very wavy and quite thick, it does help encourage some curls to form but not like the Moroccanoil products do.

Still my all time favourite curly hair styling product. I use it with B'leave-in volumising gel and any hair cream on soaking wet hair and scrunch - this combination leaves hair soft, nourished, bouncy, with little ringlets and twists that just aren't the same without it! Always uses to get cheap and nasty products......never again! This product is 1000% worth it! Am in a committed relationship with this gel! ❤

Quiet a decent product. As said my hair wasn’t left crunchy nor sticky which I do love. However wasn’t as revolutionary as I was hoping- it has to be used along side other styling products. I still had frizz, and it takes some time to figure out how to get the best results.

I’ve very naturally curly hair and this is the only gel I will use, I’ve been buying it for years. Let it dry and then scrunch and your curls will hold perfectly.
