A book that speaks to your soul.
I bought "Uncharted" because"The Map," which I only found relatively recently by the same author, changed my life.I'm only a few chapters into "Uncharted," but here's what I think so far.Well, "The Map" would be hard to beat, but Uncharted is brilliant. It has a different focus. You also don't need to have read "The Map" first to enjoy "Uncharted." Even the preface is filled with warmth and humour when Colette tells how she met "Fred!"Colette Baron-Reid has a knack of making life really feel like a journey and a great adventure - and that it's actually fun to be here. Quite a feat - but that's what you get! It's written with humour, genuineness and warmth and really shows you how to *live* life and not just drag ourselves along in fear of all the "unknowns" that we all face.I'm loving it. It's entertaining and speaks to your soul at the same time. I love how it uses the language of story, but that the exercises are based on scientific fact (eg. quantum field theory). There's only one problem I have with "Uncharted"... it's so good I want to devour it one go, but I'd really rather savour it slowly, let it all sink in and enjoy it to the full! This is one I'll read and re-read.I pre-ordered the pb version from Book Depository, but have just purchased another on Kindle so I can take it on long physical journeys too! '

Some Unique Spiritual Wisdom
If you enjoy reading about spiritual practices and principles which work for others in their spiritual journey, you might find this book of interest. I did. Some of the concepts I found most useful:* Gratitude removes ambition and clears space for a bigger dream than you would otherwise dream* Don't rush to realm of form to try to manifest and attract all that your small mind thinks you want for yourself* Use your intention instead of your will* Thinking about how your ought to meditate or journal won't cut it. Your gas tank doesn't get filled just because you know where the gas station is. Spiritual practice is the same. To keep the lines of communication with Spirit open, slow down and open up to feeling and sensing your connection* When life feels very serious, it's hard to understand why Spirit would insist that you should play, but you have to do it. It's part of resting. First it gives you a break from the struggle. Also it's in the playing that you start to connect to Spirit again.* Earnestness can be extremely draining - become as little children.* The realm of form responds like a mirror. It will reflect back to you any sustained and repeated state of mind. The wisdom I took away from this book then is to be more playful, laugh more and be more like childlike. Watch my thought so that it doesn't get dark or negative. Focus on lots of gratitude. Thank God continually. Spend time daily not thinking about God, but listening to God, Spirit. It's okay to have an intention vs. having self-will and outline specifically what you want in your experience. This may be a 5-star read for those who are interested in topics such as Mind, Light, Energy, Form, Dragons, the realm of Spirit and CoCreation.I enjoyed the wisdom in this book.

Infinite Possibility Indeed!
I am only through Chapter 3 of this book but I feel the need to write my review even before I am done reading. By the way, it is also the case that I am reading this book as slowly as possible, simply because I do not want it to end. Uncharted is a map, a guidebook, a reminder of all that we once knew, but agreed to forget, for the sake of our soul's growth as we relearn deeper still who we are and why we are here. Baron-Reid's style is accessible and warm. She is bold on the one hand, but also humble as she reminds us at every turn that we are taking this journey together, that we must be compassionate and brave, that there is work to do, and that the work is doable though not without suffering. Baron-Reid is a joyful messenger steeped in both the reality of the quotidian here and in the equally real world of the metaphysical. This is not a long book, but it is a powerful one: a talisman that can help us navigate our lives with hope, purpose and delight.

How do we connect with Spirit while having to live in a sensory world?
"...where should you go next from that center hub, where you experience the quintessence of all life that is spirit? In the world of the senses, you might answer the question, 'where next and what next?"This is what Colette Baron-Reid conveys in that, how do we connect with, and include the essence of Spirit within us among having to live in a sensory world? The key is understanding the map to your soul and interconnect with four other realms: The Realm of Mind, the Realm of Light, the Realm of Energy, the Realm of Form.As a psychic medium, she puts us to task on discovering our spiritual journey and takes us through the process of co-creating with all of our Realms, to transform ourselves. In a purposely light-hearted way, we fight dragons (our fears), pausing to go through Traveler's Notes, while she tells honestly about her own personal journey from darkness, as well as how a Higher Chorus of Consciousness, which told her to call them "Fred", connected with her as a catalyst to write this book for everyone wanting to write their own story of their soul. She wants us to use our imaginations, but also to take it seriously. While reading the book, I've come away with 'Aha' moments and enjoy the overall theme of armchair travel. I follow the process of co-creation, and most likely will go through the book again and again, picking up notes I missed. I can imagine I'll eventually find my pathway to my castle.

I would rate this at a 3½ rather than just a 3.I am a fan of Colette Baron-Reid: I follow her on twitter and FB, and listen to her videos from time to time, and regularly visit her website. I also have a set of her Oracle cards and they are my favourite, so I wanted to give this book a 5 star rating, but I just couldn't. I didn't even feel it warranted a 4.Maybe I am just too well-read in the self-help and personal development genre, and maybe for someone new to a lot of things that Colette is trying to impart would come across differently, but I found this book chaotic.Colette is trying to bring together three schools of thought, which is not an easy thing to do. One of psychic awareness, one of personal development, and one of how science actually plays a part in both of these. She didn't fail in doing any of that, but she was overly wordy about it, and I felt there was a lot of 'padding' to this book, which I feel was a marketing tool more than anything. There was continued reference to her first book 'The Map' (which I haven't read) and also to her personal creation the 'Invision Process' which is a course Colette has developed and runs through Hay House Publishing (as I understand it). There was also repetition in her own personal story about finding her true path into being a psychic after doing a television show (another plug). She hinted at other elements to her personal story and events that happened to her at the age of 19, but it was clear she was not comfortable talking about these, even though they would have added to the personal development she was encouraging the reader to undertake, and given it more depth.I also felt that at the beginning, when Colette defined her spiritual world, she described it in a way that it was a fact and the same for everyone, whereas I was not convinced about that; it can be very individual, and spirit manifests in different ways for different people. Readers could worry if they don't experience things the way Colette does. She had a lot of her own terminology for that, which thankfully, she did provide a legend for, but I felt it made it more complicated and chaotic - although I liked the term 'small self' for the ego. I felt the entire book could have been structured better. What I did like about the book was that at the end of each part/chapter there was a section called 'Traveller's Notes' which basically gave a break down of that chapter and the main points that had just been covered, so you could clarify what that chapter had been about, which was useful as often a lot got lost in tangents and over description. And Colette also provided some excellent exercises for the reader to do, to learn about themselves and find their own way to a calm state of mind and allow themselves to listen more closely to their soul.I will definitely use and reference this book in the future for the exercises and even Traveller's Notes. But I would be careful who I recommended it to.

Uncharted, Banish Fear, Enter into the Unknown in a Co-Creative Partnership
I've been listening to Colette Baron Reid's insights for a while, I often use her wisdom cards online and follow her YouTube channel where she does a weekly forecast of the energies, something she calls a 'prescription' for thinking about and working with our thoughts, feelings and beliefs as they encounter the energy that presents itself. She's down to earth, has a sense of humour and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's continuously learning and sharing her insights and admits to having regular bouts of 'spiritual narcolepsy', her term for knowing what it is you should be doing to stay in equilibrium in your life, but falling asleep at the wheel."when you temporarily fall prey to fear or subconscious triggers that cause you to forget that you have a co-creative partnership with spirit, that you are in fact, a part of spirit. You forget that the material world is not the primary reality and start to look at outer conditions as a way to orient yourself, instead of tuning within to get where you're at."So I was intrigued to read her book and pre-ordered it back in Sept 2016, which then gave us access to an incredible gift of 'real and raw' conversations she had with people whose work she admires like Gregg Braden, Joe Dispenza, Anita Moorjani, Dr. Cristiane Northrup and others. Those conversations provide an excellent pre-text for reading the book, because we understand more thoroughly where she is coming from and where is currently at in her own evolution on the path of co-creation with spirit.Uncharted isn't as easy to absorb as those conversations are, because it forces the reader to participate and consider things while reading, whether you wish to or not. It's a book you'll want to reread, it's a way of looking at reality and preparing for the unknown in front of us, or the "uncharted" as she calls it.Many people approach the unknown with fear, others with anticipation, regardless, Colette offers a process of approaching that uncharted, unknown future reality, with more calm and greater confidence, through developing a relationship with spirit - by learning how to "co-create" with spirit. This process takes the reader through five realms of co-creation, the realm of spirit, of mind, of light, of energy and form. She talks about how mostly with our five sense, we spend most of our time and energy in that last realm of form, of action, of intellect, of making things happen. Co-creation takes a step back and considers another of doing things, and of developing what some refer to as the sixth sense, but which she refers to as the first sense, intuition."Intuition is an inherent primary skill, our first sense, and a gift from the Realm of Spirit that we discover and use in the Realm of mind to access insights, information and energy the intellectual part of the mind can't conceive."It's a consciousness raising view of reality and one that will resonate with enlightened readers, empaths, those familiar with working with energies and the open-minded.If you want to learn how to tame your dragons, this is a great place to start.Highly Recommended!
