Beautiful product but flawed piece!
So let me go over the pros and the cons of this beautiful, yet, flawed piece.PROS:First of all, this item is really gorgeous. I got the carbon fiber/stainless steel combination and it is a looker! One thing to mention to everybody who might not be able to tell from the pictures: the carbon fiber is GLOSSY, it is not a matte version. Now this might bother some people (I would've preferred a matte version), but I was able to accept the look of it in the end.Second, the concept of the money clip that this one employs is actually pretty damn nice! It is convenient, quick to deploy, and looks sleek. I actually like pulling out the money clip to pay with my credit cards or cash since I get to slide out the clip levers with a smooth pull and unlatch my cards. Overall, it is one nice looking device.CONS:My biggest complaint is how low quality the tolerances are for the product. One of my main complaints is how the items RATTLES when I shake it. The rattling seems to come from the piece that slides out. It rattles when the clip is closed, and it rattles when the clip is out. It appears that the gap between the rail and the slide is big enough to where the product has loose tolerances to allow it to rattle! I mean, if I'm paying $140+ for a small piece of luxury item, I would at least expect it to be of high quality.Continuing on the fact about the loose tolerances, I have the issue of the sliding clip where it slides out in my pocket. I don't know if there is a detent or something that is suppose to hold the sliding clip in place, but it certainly does not do it well in my pocket. I don't even move or jerk it roughly, but it still manages to slide out at least halfway. Interestingly enough, at the same time, when I take it out of my pocket and try to slide out the clips, sometimes I get a lot of resistance and I have to force it out with a bit more pressure than necessary. I feel this occurs because the tolerances isn't completely perfect so sometimes when I try to slide it out, the angle comes out incorrectly and friction results.Lastly, it's not a major legit complaint as it comes with use, but I feel that it wouldn't result with other products. The glossy carbon fiber SCRATCHES ridiculously easily. Not the stainless steel portion, but yes, the glossy carbon fiber. When I let the light reflect off the product, I can see so many scratches on the gloss. I feel a matte black carbon fiber version would've been better in this fact since it doesn't show flaws as easily as gloss does. Now I can't really fault this product for that since that is natural wear and tear, but man, for someone who has been carrying this for a couple days, it sure does seem as if my money clip has been carried for a year or so. I don't even carry this in a pocket with anything else; it is in a pocket on its own. Yet, I have so many micro scratches that I don't know where it came from! Nevertheless, the gloss carbon fiber still does look beautiful so I don't want to hit it too hard on this.So overall, the M-Clip carbon fiber money clip looks GORGEOUS, but for the low quality tolerances and fit and finish for the steep price, I have to definitely state that there are some improvements that must be made!

Solid build quality but not enough grip throughout; I recommend the Tightwad model from M-Clip
Overall, it was a beautiful and solid money clip. I have no issues with the build quality as a whole. It was very weighty and felt and looked like a showpiece. That's where my observations stopped. Quality is usually a priority for me, but this clip felt lacking in function. My biggest gripe is how narrow the clip is and the lack of grip/tension over the surface/contact area. There is a small neoprene pad at the tip that gives a little bit of a grip at smaller loads, but that is primarily where most the hold occurs. My clip mostly just held near the tip resulting in a loose fitment, especially without the 4 cards in the clip. My load was eight bills and four cards. The loose feel of the clip and small contact area was a concern for me and was the reason I returned it.Would I recommend this to someone? Sure, if that person does mind the high cost of entry, wants a quality piece, but doesn't have the best grip due to the weight and narrowness of the clip concentrating all the holding power in one small area. However, M-clip has another product that solves these addressed issues. It lacks in build quality and complexity comparatively (while both were excellent for what it is compared to others on the market), but is an awesome and lightweight design with loads of contact area and grip due to the width of the clip and tension. The patented design also makes it fairly easy to use the clip and allow it to lay flush in the pocket. The product is M-Clip's Tightwad line. I ordered the Stainless steel in silver and liked it enough that I ordered the heftier priced carbon model as well.

... my lifetime and this one is by far the best design yet
** Overall Comment **I've owned a handful of money clips in my lifetime and this one is by far the best design yet. I would highly recommend owning one if you love money clips just as much as I do. The design is very stylish and unique.Being a female, I often times get criticized for carrying a money clip. I use to carry a purse in the past but started to realize most of the things I carried were never really used. Plus, if I needed something, I’m sure my friends would have it in their purses. I also use to have a big wallet with all of my cards in it but started to realize I don’t use most of the cards and most places uses your phone number to access your account or your info can be pulled in other ways. Also, with the technology of cell phones, you can easily log in your accounts online to obtain the info. I love the convenience of just sticking the clip in my pocket and never worrying about leaving my purse in places where it could get stolen.I’ve owned high end clips from Tiffany’s and Gucci but found this one to be the best. Although the clips were nice, stylish and sleek, it would often times stretch out. If I didn’t have enough cash in the clip, my cards would fall out. This clip is durable and holds my credit cards and cash securely. It’s strongly built and designed. I get asked about it all the time due to its unique, clip like design.** PROS **1. Stylish and unique design.2. Durable and strongly built.3. Convenient.** CONS **1. Nothing negative to say.
