What I do is: I put the item being coated with any of the Howard products, to be exposed to the Sun for several hours per day for about a week. Then I put the item in a warm room such as the garage for about another week or two until the surface of the treated item feels dry to the touch. I then buff the coated surface with a dry paper towel or cloth. Remember, if you sand the surface with the finer grits - 400, 600, 800, finishing off with 1200, you will develop a nice sheen.
