8 pcs Expanding Arbors Set Mandrels 1/4 To 1-1/4 Lathe Milling High Precision

It worked okay at first for softwood. With oak it eventually spins on the mandrel. The screw that’s supposed to expand the mandrel and secure the work piece just strips before getting tight. I will need to find a set that works.

These are just a mess.First off, no one cleaned the swarf out of the screw threads or the slits.There's a lot of swarf, I mean a lot! Its was a lot of work just to get them usable.2nd, I think the concentricity is a bit off too but didn’t measure it. At this point they're just going to sit in a drawer.If you do buy them, get a can of brake clean and tweezers to clean out the swarf.Then use some anti seize on the screws. Without that, id bet the screws would lock in forever.Im sure better ones are available. Buy those if you don't want a project.

The wood holder arrived very damaged and falling apart. I used the 5/8 mandrel a couple of times and then the expanding screw stripped out making it useless. I would not recommend buying these.

Believe the warnings, I wish I would have. Not much to say except these are junk, plain and simple.

I’m missing the largest hex key, so three arbors are expensive paper weights, plus two of the second largest hex screw sized heads didn’t have a sharp enough angle, so they’re too round to be functional, plus the hex heads feel like they’re going to strip due to poor thread tapping. One of the arbors has junk in it?Waste of money and poor quality control—I’m returning these arbors.Edit: I dropped the missing hex key when unpacking the product, but I’m still returning it because I’m still dissatisfied with the product due to poor quality.
