Way Better Than Expected...
I was looking for a cheap-o flashlight to mount on the bottom of my PTR-91 Carbine (G3 Clone) so I could have a little light in any home defense that may arise in the dark in or around my home. I found this little guy and thought it be perfect. After all, I only need the light for one or two shots when/if I need it, so who cares if it wobbles off after?I had full intention to remove it when going out to the range, but I completely forgot. Placing it on the bench rest and putting about 20 rounds of .308 through my gun loosened it up enough to slip it off. However, once I got home, I reattached it nice and tight and took it out a few weeks later. This time I had no bench rest and stood for my entire duration of shooting. I put about 100 rounds out (Still of .308 mind you) and the thing is STILL just as snuggly attached! So if you hold it against a surface (e.g. bench rest) it will wobble loose, but if you're not dumb like me, you probably won't and shouldn't have a problem keeping it on.The moral of the story: SHOCK RESISTANT!

Perfect
Let me explain the 5 stars...I have toyed with the idea of a light on the end of a handgun for years, but never could pull the trigger because they just seemed impractical for me (sorry for all the puns). This light was cheap enough to give it a try. I love it because it affirmed my original thoughts of "that's just a silly, tactical, movie prop". For me the light is useless, and I took it off after three minutes. Now for the light itself. It actually worked very well. It comes with two switches: one "remote" pressure switch for your hand and another "on/off" button on the back.; these are separate and interchangeable. Both worked just fine for me. The light was bright in a dark room, but I doubt the 90 L claim. All in all, good light...I wouldn't want to defend my life with it. It was a fun toy. If you want a legitimate light on the end of your gun, you'll have to spend a lot more money; this one is way too long and the battery/bulb connection way too unstable.

Turned out to be worth every penny
I was worried about the quality of this piece, but for $20 I now expect to find no better flashlight. Here are the high points.* Its LED is surprisingly bright.* It's all metal, except the lamp bezel, and maybe the reflector inside (I have not opened the lamp housing up, but it appears to be threaded).* It is not submersible, but a little rain will not affect it at all (at least not before the gun itself is affected).* The on/off button has a cheap "ping" sound when pressed, but it works fine for now.* The remote switch seems of decent quality to me, but I mounted the unit close to my vertical grip and I don't need it (I can just move my index finger forward and click the button).* A little hex wrench came with it.A couple final tips that might help somebody:1. The powder coating was a bit messy where the rail clamp screws countersink, and on the inside surfaces of the rail clamps. I used a small file and smoothed the inside of the rail clamps, and reamed out the gunk from the countersinks a bit.2. The 3 screws that clamp the bracket to the unit itself should be tightened first. It's best to do the center one before the outer ones. And snug them down evenly, until all are equally fairly tight. For me this bracket holds it rock-solid.-Dan (not Melissa) Higgins

Nice little light
Well, first let me say this is not a Surefire by any means or stretch of the imagination. With that said, you just can't go wrong with this light it is bright enough to light up any room in your home and for $20.00 it's a no brainer! It also comes with a pressure switch and it works well. I tried it on my SCAR .308 just to test it out and it came loose after about 20 rounds with the recoil you would expect from a .308. So, I put the TLR-1S back on the SCAR and put the aim sports light on one of my M4s and a little GSG-22. (bought 2 of them). Have shot them both with light attached and have had no problems at all. Overall this is a great little light for the price and I highly recommend them for 5.56 or lower caliber.

Great light. Functions fine ***UPDATE***
First and foremost I want to note two things.1) My light came with a battery (CR123)2) My remote switch functioned perfectly right out of the box.I have seen some reviews on here that noted issues with both. The light is aluminum cased, and the rail and hardware are very suitable for this light. There are tension adjustments for the light to keep it from moving in the mount, and the allen key for adjustment is included. It does come a little loose to facilitate fore and aft placement, then you cinch it down.*****Just an update on this review, and a re-score. The button switch stopped working afer 2 days. I had only pressed it maybe 6 times, and it is VERY loose. Possibly the internal spring came loose, I am not sure. It can not be opened up, so I will have to wait and see if the seller sends me another switch like they promised last week. If not it gets 1 star and will be returned, and seller feedback will reflect low also.

The light didn't work. Don't waste your money.
If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. I decided to give this light a shot due to its reported 90 lumens and mostly favorable reviews. I received the light yesterday (2 days from ordering) and as always I was pleased with the speed of Amazon's shipping.I removed the light from the package and installed the battery. I pressed the switch expecting to see 90 lumens of white light and saw nothing. I pressed the switch again with no result. I checked to make sure that I had installed the battery properly and once confirming that I had I tried it again. On the 5th try the light came on. I tried the light several more times with similar results. Sometimes it will work 3 or 4 times in a row but it seems to only work about 1/4 - 1/5 of the time. The light wasn't as bright as I was expecting (when it did work) a reported 90 lumen light to be. It seemed to have a pretty narrow main beam. Don't waste your money. Buy a Surefire or a Streamlight.I am sending this one back for a refund.I have
