These stools work great for our new home.
Was a little hesitant just because of other reviews...but these are sturdy and large enough for our size butts and like the industrial look.

Not very stable. Money to u get is poor. Nice design if the legs were wider.

All looks and no comfort
Well made, easily adjustable and stylish but uncomfortable and not very stable. They're nice to look at but they were a bad choice for practicality.

Attractive and sturdy but not very comfortable
They look as pictured, a nice sturdy industrial style but the black paint over steel is just an okay faux rustic. I would probably choose black in hindsight but can always paint them later. For me the backrest is uncomfortable, takes up seating room and hits me in the wrong area of my back. I’m 5’7”, 135lb. My 5’4”, 120lb wife thinks they are comfortable. I bought two more but didn’t install the backs, perfect! A bit odd to have both at the counter but at least there’s something for adults and kids alike.
