The picture were beautifully illustrated and the story rightly depicted the poor conditions of refugees. It cant be wrong when it comes from the eyes of the refugee himself.

A lovely book that captured succinctly the angst of a young child stuck in a refugee camp. My eyes welled up in parts.

I gave this book to my nine year old kid and he loved it. It is a real story about a boy who was a refugee.

Everyone should read this book about refugees. The human spirit and it's resilience in the face of suffering should move us to compassion and not fear. I wish every school keeps it in the library.

Very beautifully illustrated

This is such a powerful book that helps to open the reader's eyes about the life of refugees in a refugee camp! I loved the story and learned so much from it! I am hoping to be able to use it in my classroom!

I am nine years old. My mom bought me this book. I enjoyed reading this book alot. I got to know lot about how people spend their life in refugee camps. Thay have tough times there but they are still very grateful. To be honest its emotional, sad 😥 but you don't want to put it down until you finish it. Amazing book!!

Great story with fun illustrations. My daughter was particularly engaged to learn that it is based on a true story and real life experiences, written in a very child friendly way.
