Mini Gaffer Tape Rolls 1 Inch x 8 Yards, Pocket Size, Black & White, Small Cores

I started using Gaffer tape as a musician to tamp down cables on stage so I wouldn't trip over them. It dispenses easy, tears even easier and does not leave any sticky residue like duct tape does. It comes up easily at the end of the night leaving my cables residue free and easy to pack up. These mini rolls work great for all manner of things at home. I use it for securing computer cables, removing glare from surfaces that interfere with my Nest cameras autofocus/shutter and just about anything I used to use general purpose tape to bind. I feel gaffer tape is simply superior to duct tape unless you are actually working with ducts (or ducks). It comes in man sizes and lengths depending on your need. In addition to larger rolls, I keep some of these mini rolls always on hand for, well, whatever.

i have nothing but good things to say about these tapes. i'm a professional videographer and use them frequently. i travel a lot so the size is great. they can be stored so easily in pockets/bags/cases. eventually you realize that you can do a lot with 1" wide rolls and don't need the bulky 2" wide rolls for most tasks. great when you're doing smaller jobs and don't need a lot of equipment. i use them around the house too. once you start using grip tape you don't go back. i use black, gray, and white. the white rolls are great for marking on too. i realized one of the best uses for these smaller rolls has been to give them as a gift to someone on set. if they've seen you use them and inquire about the 1" width tell them how convenient they are then hand them the roll. they'll remember that when you have to carry 15 sandbags.

These small rolls of gaffers tape is perfect for travel or for carrying around in a small kit. As a news editor in print publications, I mostly use gaffers tape to secure my monopod to a sturdy object, to MacGyver something damaged in my photography kit, or to create baffles or modifiers for my flash. On a construction site, I did use it to help a man with a bleeding arm before the safety supervisor could get to him with a first aid kit. In every case, the tape was sticky enough for its task, yet left no residue afterward. It was easy to tear and the rolls are small enough so that if I let someone borrow it and they don't return it, I don't bother hunting them down later like I would have to with a giant roll. Not cheap, but good gaffers tape never is.

This is good Gaffer tape but I've been having issues ripping it- if you rip it one way, it's clean and easy. But rip it the other way and the last string of weave doesn't rip. I don't have a huge level of experience for gaffer tape but at what I feel like is a premium price, it's good, not great. Also the packaging was opened on the bottom, not the top. I would buy it again unless a better option or a better value was there.

Great product - I have a roll in every Maker Toolbox from auto toolbox to garage toolbins to exhibit rolling tool carts! I have used gaffer tape for many years after experience as volunteer sound staff in a church. The large rolls are not very handy to have in small toolboxes, but the product is so superior for so many uses to vinyl electrical tape or the small rolls of duct tape like products that I use this tape more than any other. Takes marker or pen ink readily without smears and like all gaffer tapes comes up without residue even after up to a few months of use. We have large rolls of dark color gaffer tape in our exhibit rolling tool carts; still reach for these little rolls more often, though less used each time! The ONLY downside - I wish these came in a larger capacity on the same small cardboard insert.

It's a great tape if you use it for its intended purpose. There are special situations where gaffer tape is the right tape. For example, using it for photography to tape down wires and tape the wires around lighting poles and background poles is absolutely awesome. Masking tape is too weak, duct tape leaves residue. Gaffer tape has the necessary adhesion and holding strength and come off clean. See second photo with zero residue after 24 hours. These rolls are small enough to carry around. They're about the size of electrical tape. Once I started using it for one purpose, I found myself finding other uses for it. I won't allow myself to run out.

This is fantastic to have in your travel bag, camping or tool kit. It works well for so many things, wardrobe malfunctions, cord repair, cord bundling, CPAP hose repair, emergency bandage, etc. Really nice to have high quality tape on a small core, all the great things of gaffer tape without a huge roll.
