It was also very tight when I wore it over a sweatshirt. I would recommend it for anyone who is needing a raincoat for the warmer months where layers and thicker clothing will be warn. But that mostly due to the sleeves being so narrow. I had more than enough space in the chest and body area.I bought this because I am going to the UK in October, and I wanted something to wear that was dressier than my hoodie and long black cardigan sweater and offered more than my pashmina shawl. I normally wear a size 14 and thought the XL would be the perfect size. It's fine if I am wearing a nice dress or a blouse. But a thick sweater or sweatshirt and it would be too tight on my arms. I wear a size 38 DDD-40DD bra depending on brand and I was happy that I can close this jacket ( this is to thin to be a coat) The Purple is a rich dark color that I love. If this had been just a bit larger I would have given it a higher rating.
