Fleece Hat Friends: 25+ Easy-to-Sew Projects Paperback – September 4, 2012

I borrowed this book from a friend last year to make hats for Christmas. I liked it so well I bought it! The hats are adorable for kids, and gives good directions. I plan to make more for my growing Grandkids!

I purchased this book and can't believe the precise and easy to follow directions for all the hats! The author has done a beautiful job at her illustrations so you can actually see how they supposed to look. The price is great and I would recommend this book to all beginners and veterans of the art. Hope she comes out with another one soon!

Fast shipping, great quality & really cute ideas! I would give it 5 stars if the patterns came full size and there were step by step picture instructions. The mostly verbal instructions took a few hats for me to figure out.

These hats are SO cute. As others have mentioned, there's a single style hat and a lot of adorable embellishments to create the characters. I probably would make some minor changes to the pattern and instructions,but I'm an experienced seamstress and actually seldom follow the directions as written. (I DO read them first.) I'm having trouble deciding which one to begin with. Here in Wisconsin, hats are useful for a lot of the year so I suspect I'll be making a lot of them.

Many times my crafting experiments turn out like warped, sad versions of the example I was trying to follow. Not so this time. I have made the 'All a Buzz' hat and the Dinosaur hat & backpack set. They look just like the examples in the book! No one is more surprised by this than me. My only warning about the book is that I agree with many reviewers in that the basic hat pattern results in a fairly square shaped hat, which has bumps on it at each corner. I just re-stitched this part until I could achieve a smooth, round look. I felt the projects had a nice mixture of machine and hand sewing, as I enjoy doing both. Mostly I'm just happy to have been able to make such cute hand-made gifts for Christmas giving. Great book!

Good directions etc. Haven't made a hat yet as it's over 100 degrees this time of year in Arizona. But plan to make some up for the kids this winter season. Directions look simple and should be fun to make.

I bought this for me and my daughter to make hats she lost interest but I have made a couple from here and love them. I recently moved and so want to set up my machines again and start sewing. :) I not not an advanced sewer and this book is easy to follow and understand. If I can make it you can make it.

Ich hatte das Buch ursprünglich als Geschenk bestellt. Es kam sehr schnell bei mir an. Vor dem verschenken habe ich zunächst mal einen Blick in das Buch geworfen. Und es hat mir auf Anhieb so gut gefallen,dass ich es selbst behalten habe! Meine englischkenntnisse haben vollkommen ausgereicht und dank der vielen Bilder ist es nicht sehr schwer selbst eine solche Mütze herzustellen!Lässt man Augen,Ohren und eventuell die Nase weg- so erhält man auch eine Mütze für Erwachsene, die nicht gerade mit einem goldigen Affen, Hasen oder Nilpferd auf dem Kopf rumlaufen wollen!Für mich war das Buch eine absolute Bereicherung!

Easy to follow instructions and all the pattern pieces included. Lots of fun hats to try. I searched through all the pattern books and this one has everything included in one easy to follow book.

Bought this for my textiles class to have some fun making animal hats for christmas. Simple yet effective ideas , clear instructions made the monkey one it looks great.
