We have a 17-month-old golden retriever who has hip dysplasia on both legs. He has had surgery on one side and had a bad limp after that. Physical therapy enabled him to walk better, but 6 months after surgery, he developed knee arthritis because of the way he tries to compensate for his weak leg while walking. His weight was reduced and was given a joint and hip supplement by the vet. While he improved, he still would limp from time to time. I read about Parnell’s Glyde Mobility Chews on the AKC website and decided to try it out. We don’t have this easily available in our country so I had to buy it from outside. It was a decision that paid off well. Our beloved golden does not limp anymore and we are able to take him out on longer walks. Despite being on pain daily at a very young age, our beloved golden has always been a happy dog. He has this strength and fearlessness in him that has endeared him not just to us but to many others in our and on online communities. I hope each day that he will grow old with us and will go on to live a long, happy, healthy life. He’s unable to enjoy his youth like many other puppies do, running and jumping and doing what normal puppies do. I am just happy now that I don’t see him in as much pain, and he is able to explore his surroundings which is what he loves doing the most. If your dog is in a similar situation, and you are considering trying this product out, I’d recommend you do, with approval from your Vet.

Our poor dog was hobbling around, she has now been on Glyde for over 2 months and she is acting like a puppy! Jumping and running around everywhere. She will be on this forever! Thank you!

The media could not be loaded. Had these recommended to me by my vet after my Irish Wolfhound had a toe amputated due to complications relating to his auto immune disorder when he was 3. Adjusting to walk and run minus that toe took a little bit, and these supplements seemed to help get him up and going quicker.Fast forward three years and hes 6 and going strong.... So strong that he ate his way through a garbage can and had to have emergency stomach surgery to get it all out. That big surgery at 6 slowed him down quite a bit. I put him back on the mobility chews and it seemed to help get him back to 'nearly 100'.Fast forward another year and he is now 7, and due to another hearty dose of 'life happens', I had to cut back on anything not absolutely necessary for a few months, including the mobility chews. Now that I am back to a good financial footing, I've had him back on the full dosage for a few months and Its noticeable how much more active he is- play fighting with my moms puppy, getting the 'crazies' while on our walks, and rolling around on the bed.10/10 would recommend to anyone with a dog whos struggling to get around or could use a little boost.

I didn’t see any changes in my dog’s mobility however I could tell that the bites were fresh and it seems like a good product. They did gave my dog a little gas but it wasn’t too big of a deal. Not all supplements work for every dog so I’m still giving 4 stars.

My 14 y o Diva, seemed to benefit from this product, but as much as I love her, trying to feed (disguise) this pieces of rock to her is a major task. They are so hard that I have to use the sharpest knife to slice it and mix with food. She hates the smell so that sometimes she won't eat all her food. I mean, if this is for older dogs you should think their teeth are not the same as when they were young.. I don't know if the hardness is because they are old/dry or that you just must bust your fingers trying to make them edible. I am almost out of them since I gave to my 2 dogs but I am doubtful about buying the same hard heart shaped things. Wish it was a powder or at least SOFT.REVISED,I never sent the above review- I forgot- and also forgot these were the useless ones, so I made a mistake and ordered again. So now Diva is 15, almost have to finger feed her most of times. she is definetely not swallowing even the sliced little pieces that I must cut. More waste of money. I better remember what NOT to order!!! can't they make it easy to crumble????????

I had the same experience as the reviewer of March5, 2017. I too am concerned about the efficacy of this product as it is different. Rather than being a moist chew as all previous orders, my most frequent order arrived in a difference container and the chews are hard, appearing dry and stale. I called Amazon and they assured me it is exactly the same but encouraged me to return it which I am in the process of doing. I will call the company on Monday and hope the call will be answered. Does anyone else have answers or opinions on this?I called the manufacturer today and was told the formulation has been changed to make a harder, dryer dog chew but that the active ingredients remain the same. My dog still loves the taste and his mobility has remained good. My concern was that the product I received might be stale or ineffective but I was glad to be informed that this is not the case.

I was looking for something to ease my dog's pain, but, he didn't like the smell or something.

This is an absolute miracle supplement. After going through multiple potions, tablets, chews, and shots in unsuccessful attempts to relief severe arthritis symptoms in my ageing giant schnauzers, I was recommended this supplement and reluctantly gave it a try. I did not have much hope that this one would work either. I took a couple of weeks to notice gradual improvement, and about a month or so to fully taking effect.Before this chew, she would not even want to go for a walk and no favorite yummie seemed enticing enough for her to even get up. She was in constant pain. Now, my girl is back to her happy pupster self. She runs up and down stairs, she jumps, she loves life. She was literally saved by Glyde.She does not like the flavor of the chew. I have to push it behind her cheek twice a day but I will not complain. It is minor inconvenience for what I get in return - happy and healthy pain-free doggo. Thank you very much Glide!
