Damaged upon arrival
Chair had to be assembled on arrival. However the bracket that holds the back of the chair was bent. The outside box was okay so all I can assume is that it was damaged during the manufacturing. I had to ask my neighbor to bring over his tools and straighten it. It is steel and no easy task.I gave them another star because their customer service contacted me and offered to send me another bottom of the chair, and a small credit for my problems. Customer Service was very attentive. My husband loves the chair.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished lol
Oh the saga. No good deed goes unpunished lol. I ordered this chair for my husband pending his open heart surgery. It was advised that he would need a recliner to sleep in post op. I have avoided the decor horror of the recliner for my whole life lol. I love him and want him to be comfortable so I ordered this for him. Within a half hour of placing the order he informed me he didn’t want leather! What man doesn’t want a leather chair?! So I immediately tried to cancel the order, but this naughty third party seller only allows for an email request that takes two days to respond. Okay, but the chair has super fast shipping that would beat their email reply. I called Amazon customer service who were polite and helpful, but really could do nothing. We attempted to change the fabric color from dark brown leather to a brown non leather fabric. Huzzah! Amazon got an email from the seller that I did not get. The only reason I knew about it was because I did a follow up call to Amazon the next day. I was informed that the chair had shipped! One day shipping for a chair! My only recourse was to refuse the delivery for return and be charged a $60. restocking fee, and then reorder the chair in the hubby’s fabric choice. Hubby had pity on my good intentions, and agreed to keep the leather chair. We finally put it together today. Not hard, but not easy (and he’s a contractor who can do everything). The chair itself is very nice. For a recliner lol. He’s napping in it now, and I’m sure it will be helpful after the surgery. The large size is pretty good. Hubby is 6 feet tall. His feet hang off an acceptable amount. The power features will be welcome after surgery. USB ports are handy, as are cup holders. So all’s well that ends well. Go ahead and purchase this chair. Good chair for the price.

Mom Approved
We bought this for for my mother and father-in-law, so when they visit they have a comfortable chair to sit, and sleep in. So far my mom has visited and spent the night. She's disabled and has a hard time getting up. She also recently broke her wrist as well. She really liked how comfortable it is. It's wide enough for her butt, and it supported her weight just fine. She's close to 300 lbs. She slept in it and really slept well. She also liked the features, massage, heat, cup holders and the usb charging ports. The charging ports are not fast charging. However that's not really an issue. It's a great product and I'm really happy with our decision to buy it.

So far so good/ Update ..not so good a week later..Update 3..All is much better now.
I'm an older gal and I put it together myself it only took about 45 minutes to drag the 3 boxes inside and put it together. The directions are pretty generic, but good enough to figure it out. I put most of the wires together before I added the arms and back, so it was a bit confusing until I realized that the back ALSO has wires that have to be hooked up. You don't need any tools to put the chair together. But if you are doing it by yourself and no help, keep the boxes handy as they can help to hold up different parts of the chair in order to be able to work on it easier.Afterwards, I sat in it to try it out, and I really like it. I am 5'7 and it fits me perfect. Unfortunately, the person this chair is for is 6'2 so not sure if they will like it but if they don't that's fine, I'll be glad to take it over. ...This chair is really on the smaller side. I expected it to be much larger since it was advertised for larger and tall people. But it's not. The old chair it is replacing was a normal rocker/recliner and it was quite a bit wider than this. There are 2 wall plugs for this chair. One is just for the heater/massage control. The other is for the motor on the chair. The heater/massage plug will take up the entire wall socket, unless it's turned upside down. I bought a smart surge protector with enough plugins in it so it can be shut on or off at will. The massage part isn't too bad. It's certainly not an actual massage or anything; it's more like vibration but there are different modes as well as intensity. Just make sure that if you have any pets sitting on the foot rest ..hang on to them as they will shoot off like a rocket feeling the chair rumbling and growling at them. lolThe heat so far is not real noticeable, but I didn't leave it on long enough to really tell. But I did find you can set it for heat only, just takes some maneuvering around with the right buttons. The chair isn't really noisy when in massage mode but you can definitely hear it.I would say it could use a little more padding in the back and the seat, but it's alright as it is. It's soft but firm, if that makes any sense. Just hope this will hold up for them. I may go ahead and buy one for myself if it does.Update a week later:The roommate hates the chair. The massagers on the foot rest poke up to the top of the foot rest and they hurt his feet/ankles no matter where he sets them. I checked this out myself and he was right..they are very uncomfortable.I originally reported to the company about a pin head size hole in the back of one arm when I received it. They got right back to me, but since it wasn't where there would be pressure and it was also well hidden in the back of the chair, I told them to forget the problem.. HOWEVER. Now, I had noticed this chair is getting very jerky and clunky when it's raised up and almost tips a little to the side and it seems to be getting worse.I happened to be sitting across from the front of it the other day and noticed that this entire chair is uneven, The right arm sits up at least 1 inch taller than the left. Both arms were installed all the way down before the back was put in.. This is unacceptable and may well be why the whole chair is jerky. But the way it is, it isn't going to hold up at all. And as I said, the room mate hates the way it wobbles and jerks and the painful massagers that poke up...He won't even use the massager now. No sense in buying a chair that he needed and then unable to to use it.. He's not a large person about 195 lbs but he is 6'2.UPDATE:I contacted the company with my dilemma and they got right back with me. They shipped me a new chair right away and I shipped the bad one back. They paid for the return. The new chair is working well, seems much more solid and roommate's not having any problems with it now, other than the foot rest massager is still uncomfortable. The foot rest definitely needs more padding. Hopefully, this chair will hold up better.I read for hours about other reviews on chairs and thought this would be the one to buy, as many of the reviews for this chair are very good. I think this chair was just a bad one. The newest one seems to be better made, andthe customer service is fantastic !! Wish all businesses were as concerned and accommodating as this one is.

My dad won't stop talking about his "awesome" chair
Dad loves his chair. It came in 4 pieces which were supper easy to assemble by any novice without tools. There are two remotes, one for the massager and one for the lift. Overweight, age, and bad legs is a bad combination. Fortunately my dad has no issue getting out of this chair with just a slight elevation. We were concerned he might slip out of the leather but that was not an issue at all. The side pockets and the cup holders mean a lot less spilled drinks because he now stops tucking the glass inside the chair and falling asleep. We will see how it holds up, but for now he lives in that chair and loves it!
