The first product that was shipped was not this reel, after they reshipped the product and I had a chance to use it, I liked it. This is my 3rd Shimano Stradic CI4+ so I knew what I was buying. Very smooth reel with 20Lbs of drag. The form of this reel is the same size as the 2500, but the spool is deeper and therefore it fits more line. There is no back-reel switch, but I prefer it that way.The reason why I don't love it is the price, you get a really great reel for the money, but I feel like it could be 50$ cheaper.
