Your new dishwasher may already have one in the parts box
My first Bosch . I bought this plug set up I was irritated it required the plug accessory unlike other brands . Then after completing the install I found the same harness that was in the dishwasher . Anyway if you need this it is a great fit and easy to install

Nice junction box but I didn’t use it.
This thing is good if you want to hardwire your Bosch dishwasher but the directions say you still need to place the junction box in the adjacent cabinet so I might as well just add a plug if there isn’t one and only have one cord running in the adjacent cabinet instead of the cord and 12/2 wire. I thought I would place it under the dishwasher like my old one was with the whirlpool but on the Bosch 800 series the bottom is all enclosed so I ended up not using this junction box.

Worked with my Bosch Dishwasher
I used it with my Bosch dishwasher. As far as I can tell it could have been a straight power cord plugging into a standard outlet. The "junction box" probably justified the price and you end up spending more on a power cord with open ends to connect into the "junction box". German engineering (SMH)?

Necessary for permanent mounting
Installed a new Bosch dishwasher and was surprised that it had a standard plug connection. There wasn’t a way to hardwire the dishwasher directly to the wire that extends from the wall. So, this became a necessary purchase. It works and was easy to install and use, but ideally it should be included with the purchase of the dishwasher.

Proper terminal torquing
When connecting the power to the terminals ensure that you have a good connection. Give the conductors a tug to be sure you have torqued the terminal correctly.
