According to amazon, $29 option includes jig and 35mm bit(see more prod' details)why wld i want $44 or $45 option? what's different or extra?

The $44/45 options come with an extra 35mm bit; your call if you need it or not... I have only used it a few times; hard to know (wood type, how aggressively the bit it used etc.) how long the bit will last without needing to be sharpened or replaced.

Is it possible to use 35mm concealed hinges on a door with a 1x2 frame? I keep drilling through the edges no matter what setting I try.

When you say 1x2, if it is truly a full 2" wide, yes it is possible. But if it's only 1 1/2" wide, no it will not work.

Replacing 10yr old 1.25" overlay euro hinges w/ blum b039c355b.20 1.25" o-lay soft close: exist. hole too shallow, will this jig have correct depth?

It comes with an adjustable stop collar. The minimum cup depth this jig can drill is 1/2", and it can be adjusted thicker if needed. Most cup hinges require a 1/2" deep 35mm diameter hole.
