Fantastic lens for Real Estate
I love this lens for Real Estate photography!I think it's funny that some people say it's too wide for Real Estate. That is certainly not true 98% of the situations and with Light Room lens auto corrections distortions are at a minimum. I would say this lens is perfect for Real Estate.Only issue I will warn on, which is likely a good warning for most lenses, is check for abnormalizes. Take some photos of a blank wall and make sure you don't see any artifacts anywhere. The first two lenses I received had a couple minor spots. Amazon makes it super easy to return, so I did and just got it replaced (twice). Third time was the charm. Perfect lens!

The Rokinon 14mm F.2.8 AF for Sony FE: Get this Ultra Wide Angle Lens for a new Point of View!
The Ultra Wide is truly special at what it does. It provides the space and perspective to be able to get exactly what your eye is seeing into the photo frame when shooting landscapes or architect. The different ultra-wide perspective between this lens and say a 24MM lens is phenomenal; your 24mm only tells part of the story. This difference is why you get an Full Frame Ultra Wide Angle Lens. The Rokinon (or Samyang) provided me the v-a-s-t perspective I was looking for in outdoor nature shots where you are part of a big canvas or when you're shooting indoors and you are trying to get it all in a one frame shot like displaying everything an architectural photo is trying to display. The focus is fast with my A7Riii and the lens adds little to the weight of the camera.I did notice that when I received the lens from Amazon the firmware needed to be updated which was a little troublesome, I mean the lens was new so it should have been shipped with the latest, greatest firmware version for my Sony camera. It shipped with firmware version 21 and Samyang's latest, greatest was version 23. Once I updated the firmware the AF function was much snappier and my camera always "knew" which Rokinon/Samyang lens was attached to it with full on screen data information. The quality of the lens feels good in the hand although a little "cheap" when you compare it to the size and girth of other lenses like the Sigma 24mm or the SEL2470f28GM. The lens is constructed out of metal (not plastic) and I liked the weight and feel and I especially enjoyed my ability to be "stealthy" when doing street photography. This lens is wide, nimble, light, and quick- it seems to give you plenty of space to get the job done. This is something that is hard to do with most full frame lenses.I was very pleased with the results of the images noticing little to none chromatic aberration or flare. The nine bladed diaphragm blades proved a very pleasing bokeh. OverallI am very pleased with the quality of this ultra wide and would recommend it even at twice the price I paid on Amazon. A great lens to add to your arsenal without it weighing you down in your camera bag or your pocketbook.

Very good UWA lens (could be sharper).
I'm advanced hobbyist with 20+ years of experience. This is very nice UWA lens.Great colors, moderate distortions, and it is really really wide on my A7II. I give it 4 stars because it is not as sharp as I hoped it to be (I have the 50 mm f/1.4 version of this lens as well and the 50mm is very, very sharp, even at f1.4 is better than this one at 2.8). Don't get me wrong, it is quite sharp even at f2.8, but it is not come close when it comes to sharpness to my other prime lenses. This is kind of expected - 14 mm UWA lens on full frame camera will not be as sharp as 50 mm or 85 mm lens, but I just wanted to mention it.Also, stopping down the lens does not really make any significant difference - it gets bit better, but only slightly. I guess that mean this lens is very good at 2.8, so it is a good thing. Please bear in mind that I'm really picky and used to best possible quality (I also have 5D MK IV with bunch of Canon L primes), so this is my reference when I compare this Rokinon lens. And even then it is still quite good, even for me.Most of regular amateurs will be simply thrilled with it. I attach sample pictures I took at my trip to Vegas with this lens.

a Nice option
I Have used most for Video.Cost benefit is a great option, the Sony version is much more expensive. The Rokinon is very sharp, have a good continues auto focus in most conditions, loose focus very very easy when the aperture is closedown F11 or more ,even in great light-contrast conditions.(Works better at F2.8)On a resent event(outside-day time) I could not get the footage in focus (f16) when I switch to "Sony 28mm F2" with the same settings I had not problem, focus was very snap and precise.the lens Rokinon 14mm F2.8 is very light, great for Gimbals.Have a little color fringe .Not so bad in videos.overall its a keeper.

Sharp wide open, good bokeh especially in center, still need to work on quality control.
This is the third one I got.The first one was returned because of a deal I got from here. Optics was sharp and good. However, even my a6500 do show 14mm on the screen, IBIS does not recognize the focal length and auto IBIS is disabled.Second sample is a defect optics, asymmetric axis with big coma up to f/8. blurred all the way till f/5.6. Auto IBIS does not work either.Third one is overall satisfying. Sharp wide open, auto focus is good, auto IBIS disabled issue fixed or others with old firmware.Overall, I found even the best sample has a little asymmetric in the optic axis, as the bokeh is expanding asymmetrically when changing focus. And bokeh in some side of picture is better than other side.I think if you got a really good sample, the bokeh should be a lovely and smooth circle.

Can't get better at this price Outstanding quality at this price point ...
Can't get better at this priceOutstanding quality at this price pointGood sharpness at f2.8 but if you stop it down a notch it will get crystal clearThe autofocus is fast and silent which is greatMy only problem is not being able to mount a filter thread on it

nice wide angle for sony
i had the manual focus version of this for many years and loved it, this came up so i pulled the trigger, for the most part its very good, i find it stuggles to focus some times even in good light at small apertures, in cf its much worse, i have to switch this to single focus or automatic then it works better, i have the dock so i updated it to the newest firmware helped a bit, i use dxo optics and light room to edit, lightroom has a lens profile but dxo doesnt yet, all in all its a nice lens and a step up from the manual and its smaller but i cant say its worth the full price, i got mine on warehouse deals some one didnt like it

Not sharp
This wasn't what i expected it to be. It wasn't sharp at the center and it wasn't sharp in the corner. It wasn't focusing on infinity and after contacting Rokinon support they mever responded. It might be the case that I had received a defective copy. My tests were done on A7R iii.

The view is amazing. Auto focus not so amazing.
Love the view but auto focus is hunting. Will keep testing but may need to return if auto focus keeps acting up.
