1. According to market feedback, if the lumbar vertebra directly touches the lumbar plate, because the lumbar vertebra does not do enough activity and the lumbar plate is too hard, it will hurt the lumbar vertebrae and cause pain. Now add a layer of cushions to protect your lumbar spine during traction. Not harmed.2. Multi-purpose use, can be used as a cushion to improve the previous deficiencies, and can be fully used in sofas or office seats, cars.3. For the good lover of yoga is also a gospel, with lumbar traction with cushions, it is easier to do traction on the yoga mat4. We recommend that beginners and patients with lumbar pain (except for patients with lumbar disc herniation), prefer lumbar traction devices with cushions, to avoid the damage caused by the initial stretching5. This is not a medical product and cannot solve any medical problems. If you have a patient with lumbar disc herniation, consult your private hospital before purchasing.6. The cushion can be removed and can be cleaned at any time.

Okay, but not perfect.
I got this for lower back pain. I do a lot of sitting at work and it was starting to take it's toll. This product gives great thoracic and upper lumbar stretch but it doesn't seem to do much for the lower lumbar or sacral (or cervical) regions, which is were I seem to need it most. Also, despite the padding and the relief cutout it still feels very firm on the back. Setup is a simple concept but I wouldn't recommend this for older folks or people without good arm and hand strength. I am active and work out, and work with my hands, and bending the plastic bridge into the notches was no simple task, even on the lowest setting. I don't think there's any way my elderly parents could manage it by themselves, for instance. The price was right and it definitely stretches my mid back but I'm going to have to keep looking for something to hit that low sweet spot.

Worthwhile for pain caused by muscle tension
This product has helped me a lot with my lower back pain. I have a desk job, and also carry tension in my lower back. I do not have a back/spine medical issue (per my chiropractor). The device is an important part of my successful routine to manage my pain. The steps I take daily: - pay attention to my posture at desk - loosen my hips and lower back when walking - stretch all parts of body thoroughly daily, minimum once a day - I use a small stepper device, meant for exercise, but it also loosens my lower back muscles, for 200 steps a day - cardio and strength exercise regularly, attainable goals, nothing overzealous - I lie on this device and also a neck device at end of each day 10 minutes a day - I get periodic chiropractic adjustments as needed. This all sounds like a lot in writing but it really helps my lower back pain and is manageable & worthwhile.

Good luck getting this assembled
I still cannot get it assembled because bending the main stretcher into a slight curve requires a lot of strength (which I have not). I noted on the demo video that the young waif of a woman very easily inserted the 2 pieces together as easily as brushing a loose hair off her shoulder. Look closely at the beginning when she shows how to initially bend the unit to form a slight curve in this extremely thick, unbendable plastic. Therein lies the problem. I do not have the strength to exert 60 lbs using my arms to form a curvature in this hard plastic. One wonders why this required curve was not made during the manufacturing process. This might be an effective piece of equipment once it gets assembled. I would recommemd this product only for weight lifters, male or female.

I feel it working
So, I have a spinal condition; severe foraminal lumbar stenosis and multiple bulging discs pressing on my nerves. This creates a lot of pain for me doing your basic daily activities. I will try anything and everything to help soothe this. I saw this contraption and thought, yup, that's next on my list. I'm not sure what exactly it does, but I have graduated from the lowest setting to the middle setting and am feeling some pain relief. I also feel more loose In that area. It gives me a nice stretch and I do it about 5 minutes at a time. With time and regular use, I hope to feel a lot more relief. The set up was easy enough. You do have to use a but of muscle to snap it the board into place on the base. With time and regular use, I hope to feel a lot more relief.
