Q: Is this large enough for larger adult plecos like a Sailfin?

No. 7-8 inch plecos are the largest that could use this in my opinion. I currently have 2 caves for my 6 inch albino bristlenose and Blue phantom. They both use the caves but I wouldn’t get it for large places the caves are only 8 inches long and 2.5 wide

Q: Does this open at both ends ? i have juvenile axolotls - need to have exits both sides. thank you.

No, it’s just open on the one side. My pleco has never gone in it, probably for that reason. I thought about trying to saw off the other end, but never got around to it.
