There was an ad on fb the other day for a different brand that was more expensive. I compared these with theirs and they are exactly the same. I have one hung on my kitchen wall and one in my living room. I wanted something close just in case that wouldn't cause a huge mess like a fire extinguisher would for say a small kitchen fire. I can't speak on how well these work as I've not had to use them and hopefully never will. I do wish there was a place that allowed you to try all these items out and to teach children. In an actual fire where minutes count you don't want to spend time reading and trying to figure out how things work. This blanket seems to work where it smothers the fire and I do see it says it will work on cars (engine area) which I'm not sure how well that would work being under the engine would be open and air would get to the fire making it I believe impossible to use in that case. If say you are outside burning leaves and it gets too big this would work to lay over top and smother it to where air can't feed the fire any longer or again a small fire in a pan on a stove. I mainly bought these so should a fire break out in our apartment and we need to get out we can try and wrap our upper bodies up with if the fire is really bad. I guess it's like a fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, etc you buy it in case you ever need it and pray you never do.

Ok this has quite a few benefits over a fire extinguisher. 1), It does not expire or loose pressure! 2) So much easier to use, no pins to pull etc. 3) Can be used as personal fire safety device for other emergencies, like house fire you are trying to escape from. Really impressed by this product, should come with all new stoves and ovens!

I was on a home safety kick and bought this set of blankets. I gifted one to my inlaws after my husband discovered the dryer vent on the outside of their home was super clogged! I have mine hanging on the wall in an alcove next to my kitchen. I really hope I never have to use this, but it's there if we need it. I have a teenage son that loves making french fries in pots of oil. I've explained to him how to use this blanket just in case.

I'm glad I ordered this, but found out there is a reusable one as well. Should I ever need another one (hopefully not!), I will get the reusable one to replace it!

Received two blankets as ordered very quickly. Hopefully I will not need to review the operation of the blankets. I did strategically place them in my kitchen for safety purposes.

It fits on a hook in my kitchen, close enough to the stove to be handy but a safe distance. I've never had a fire in my kitchen but there is always a chance.Unlike extinguishers, this will not expire and need to be replaced every 3 years or so.

I liked that the product is as described. The packaging is easy to understand.

Haven’t and hopefully not have to use this. Otherwise feel safer with it around.
