Decent taste and fast acting
I was quite impressed with these.Taste - they taste like a slightly milky / blackcurrant yoghurt - not too sweet and easy enough to drinkI used these before a training session - I dont find it gives a massive kick of energy but rather it sustains the energy I have so I am not as tired during the session and at the end of it.We have also taken them on walking trips and wild swims where the constant movement is a real energy drain and they work great to keep us going. They are quite expensive when compared to a pre-workout but they are conveniently packaged

Liquid Blackcurrant Jam ! - Very Tasty
As a keen cyclist I’m always interested in trying new products and innovations. I regularly use gels out on my road bike so got theses to try.Wow I really like these , I can only describe them as like having liquid blackcurrant jam, really sweet and tasty. To be honest I have a sweet tooth and that’s probably why I like them so much and the bonus is there’s no artificial colouring flavourings or added sweeteners either, just natural sugars .The added bonus for me is they are made in Gt. Britain too.I have found some other gels very bland and not as pleasant to use. These went down easy, I had no stomach issues after using them. The first time I made the mistake of pushing too hard and some of the gel came down the sides and it was really sticky and left my fingers tacky for the duration of my ride despite doing my best to lick the residue off.Lesson learned the next time I was more e careful and no issues that time, all went down no drips or dramas. They are a similar size to other leading brands just slightly less 56g compared to 60g. They supply the normal electrolytes with Magnesium and Sodium plus 20g of carbohydrates each sachet, so definitely seemed to keep my energy levels up and for me If they’re good enough for the Brownlee brothers they’re good enough for me.Not cheapest but just about ball park for gels of a similar quality and similar ingredients.

NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER
I purchased these 'so called' energy boosters. tried a full pack of them, during moderate exercise but found they gave no assistance or effect boosting performance nor endurance Be advised by my experience and do not buy them it's a complete waste of money.

Good flavour and working well. I'm buying more.
These are good gels for doing what they are meant to do.They can pretty much be used at all times. Pre, post and during exercise. Although you won't get much of a kickstart from these. They are more for replenishment.I have mainly used them after exercise to help replace the electrolytes I lose through sweating and a bit of an energy boost. This is my first real try of gels for post workouts, usually I just have some squash with salt in.But these seem to do a much better job. They taste pretty good. They are not the best thing you will taste. But they are nice enough. After trying many drinks, shakes etc, you kind of expect the worst but these are decent. The energy gel sachet contains real fruit juice extracts which does give a authentic flavoured liquid gel. What I do find excellent about these is that they are also gluten-free, suitable for vegans, dairy-free and soy-free with no artificial colours or flavourings. So they are available to pretty much anyone. As always when I review things. I talk about the price. I do find these a bit of an expense and would say they are a luxury. There are many things you could use as a substitute to these which would cost half of the price. At current price of £32 these are retailing at £1.60 per gel. So we aren't looking at a cheap product. These are actually some of the most expensive gels on Amazon. My advice when it comes to recommending these gels are do a search. Look about. If you want something that is a bit better value there are a literally hundreds of things you could try.Are these any better than the cheaper versions? It is highly doubtful. If you match the levels of carbs they provide. You will get the same effect.Personally, I think marketing is in play here when it comes to price. Which is why I'm rating them 3*.They just seem to expensive for my liking. I would recommend them if they were £10 cheaper.

Pleasant tasting
This gel seemed strange to me at first as I’m not used to drinking gels but it does have a pleasant flavour and you get used to the texture. It’s ideal for hot weather work or workouts as it gives you a much needed energy boost and helps to balance your electrolytes. They’re not cheap but no product like this is. They’re really easy to carry, so they’re ideal for cycling, or popping in your bum bag when you’re going hiking. I also keep a couple in the shed for days when OH is busy in the garden.

Perfect for running
I've been using this energy gel as a boost when I train running. They're easy to open and the flavour is not too bad.Overall they're a good product even if it's £1.6 each.

I like the taste
Overall this product does what it's supposed to do. Some of my friends prefer to use additives in their water bottles, for long rides for electrolyte replenishment. I prefer to keep regular water in my bottle in order to keep the bottle cleaner for a longer period of time.Since I use regular water in my bottle, I need to replenish electrolytes via food intake and find that those gels are great.Set of gels priced well and is easy to store. If your needs are similar to mine, I recommend it to cyclists or runners.
