Speedball Water-Soluble Block Printing Ink, 2.5-Ounce Tube, Blue

I was worried about using this color on a dark shirt. However, they turned out great! I’m a complete amateur, using inexpensive screens and managed to get the results I wanted. Our family campout will be sprinkled with matching gear. I liked how thick the ink was, it made it very easy to get a good layer down on the shirts.

I bought this for a printmaking class with kids. Color is good/strong. Consistency good for brayer and easy to clean up with water.

Bought the black to use for printing linoleum block prints. Very nice quality, rolls on smoothly, color is rich and not grainy. Highly recommend

In general speedball is not my favorite brand for printmaking supplies. In a pinch they’re fine, but overall you should definitely get stuff from a art store or specialty online shop. Their ink drys very fast in all it’s forms (I’ve used the oil based ink in studio too) but luckily for block printing with how fast it is you won’t have TOO much issue. The color was nice, and it got here quick, which is what I needed. It’s fine for what it is!

Rolled well, printed solid, no complaints. Def be careful though it will stain your stamps if you leave it for too long

Classic for a reason, it's just the right consistency for block printing applications and the cleanup is a breeze. Love it!

Speedball Ink is the best!

When I ordered the ink it said it would arrive on Tuesday. My printing night was Monday. Oh well, I would use it later. I was surprised when it arrived a day early just an hour before my event. All the stores in our area were out of black ink. The price matched what I could find locally. The night was very successful. Speedball ink is good quality and is easy to clean up. I am new to block printing. I am sure my technique using the brayers and burnishing needs help, but the ink performed well.

Really disappointed with this brand. I bought the brown ink which was excellent quality. I thought all their colours would be of this quality. I got a black one and it never dries fully, even after days and weeks. It easily smudges and has left me with a lot of pointless wastage for my work. This is quite pricey for water based ink that is supposed to be considered good quality. I won't risk buying another colour again. Really disappointing and lacks consistency as a brand. Avoid!

No amount of ironing, tumble drying or cooking will heat set this product. Washes straight out of cotton even on a cold setting. Terrible.

speedball ink works great on woodblocks .If you buy the Handy art ink which is less money you will be very sorry as it is bad,
