Worked perfectly
Had to replace the motor in our predator 6500/5500. That went smoothly enough, but then we weren't producing electricity. Turns out, this little brush thingy was worn down & wasn't making contact anymore. Husband replaced it rather quickly & we have been enjoying a quieter, more efficient generator.

Smarter Tools 3500w generator
Wouldn't quite work.....slightly (1mm too tall). I was able to slip a small washer between the mount and the bolt head to make the difference needed and presto! It works like a charm.

For the 12 volt contacts on most generators.
This is the most common part to fail on traditional generators. These high carbon brushes are required for producing 12 volts DC which in turn energizes the coils on a typical generator. This model of generator brush is the most common one used in most generators. Remember to connect the correct wire to the correct brush when installing. If your generator does not produce power after installation then reverse the wires and try again. Good quality, perfect fit.
