Palm 3176WW Slim Leather Case for Tungsten T5

What can I say but...WOW!!! fit my TX like a glove, carries my business cards, SD cards etc... so everything is very handy. And it's real leather smells devine and makes me look like I know what I'm doing when I walk into a meeting with nothing but my miniture office and still have everything I need at my finger tips. So is it worth it? Hell Yes!!!! great product, great quality, and looks & smells good. All in all a real winner

This case quite literally exudes a terrible odor. I'm not talking about the mild skunk tang of downmarket leather products. I'm talking about a full-frontal, putrid-polyetheline-meets-gangrenous-toe rot nasal assault. When I opened the packaging I found a seemingly petroleum-based foam pad between the front and back leather covers -- ostensibly a protective buffer inserted for shipping and shelving. The pad smelled horrible and its distinctive odor seems to have seeped into the leather of the case itself. I immediately threw away the pad, scrubbed my hands and said three Hail Marys. But two months later, the case still stinks to high heaven: a foul reek akin to toxic plastic from a child-labor employing factory in a third-world country ruled by a strong man dictator. (You know: that horrible smell of freshly unpacked Walmart products, only multiplied by 200, and then doused in a mixture of rancid tar and fermenting roadkill pelts.) I've tried damp-sponging the leather inside and out, but nothing has exorcised the unholy stench.I'm not sure if my packaging was an exception to the rule (do all of these cases come with noxious-gas-emitting foam pads?), but I'd warn potential consumers against buying this stinker. Perhaps even more obnoxious than having to inhale the literal miasma the hangs over this product is having to listen to other people say, "Your Palm TX stinks on ice" or "Dude, my Pocket PC doesn't smell like a fetid tar pit."

it does a good job of keeping the palm organized but, it stinks to high heaven. i mean that literally, it has a reek to it and I cannot get out and the reek is just as strong today as it was 2 years ago when i bought it

Nice looking case. Snap is a bit of a pain and it's a bit thick. Palm seems to be able to slide out easily. Well made and all buttons are accessible. All in all, not bad for the money.

This case is perfect for my Palm TX. Reasonably priced. I received it in a timely manner - "New - Factory Sealed" as described by the seller. The Case is made of quality leather and the Palm TX fits securely in place.... it fits the Palm TX like a glove.For security, I added a small strip of velcrow to the top of the case and unit to ensure the unit does not shift and fall out of the case when turned upside down or if accidently dropped.This case provides good protection and easy accessiblity to control keys and ability to utilize ear buds, power cord & adapters.

I have enjoyed this case so far. It is a very good case. It fits very well. I reccomend using Palm brand cases becuase they fit perfectly. The case is just big enough for the unit as opposed to other cases which are much larger than the unit and create more bulkiness than necessary. I can leave the unit in the case and still hook it up to sync and re-charge. Pockets are large enough for some small items. Works very well.

When making decision to order case, I was concerned that I would be shipped cover for the Tungsten T3. I had read in an earlier review that someone had been shipped the T3 case and was unable to fully fit the slightly larger TX into same. Also many of the shippers did not clearly identify the differences and/or thought that the cases and Palm Handhelds were interchangeable. However the case that I received was a perfect fit for the TX!Shipping and Handling of the items ordered was problem free, arriving wells before the promised date. I would rate this Merchant very high in terms of customer satisfaction.

I had a metal case for my Palm. I decided to get the slim leather case as my metal case was always closing as I used it. My new slim leather case is wonderful. It is lite weight and is so much easier to use and pack in my purse! I would highly recommend this leater case. It also has storage on the right side and with the Palm in the case, I can easily take out my writer and turn on and off the Palm!Karen
