Just put in two different toilets
I had something like this that I got from a home repair store years ago and one day, they stopped working. They kept the insided of the tank and the toilet basin clear from all hard water scale and stains. So, I am now trying these, which are considerably less in cost and we will see how these imports work on the toilets. I will update if nothing happens. If they work, I will order another pack. Update: I have checked the tanks after seeing the bowls were clear and the tanks were clear too. They work and I ordered another set for the third toilet.

Do magnets really work in toilets?
Magnets are really easy to install. It seems like the toilet doesn't stay clean very long though. I was really hoping it would last longer.

No more calcium build up
I have only had items for little over a month, but with very hard water, a month is long enough to have calcium rings in bowl and calcium adhering to parts in tank and that isn't happening. I am not sure exactly what it does? The water in the tank is not clear, has all these floating particles but they aren't sticking to the walls or working parts in the tank? Being a magnet, possibly changes the minerals, they are there, but flush away. I have bathrooms that are seldom used, is why I keep an eye on them every few days and give a flush- in the ones used daily I don't see the same situation in tank, what I see is minus the white hard calcium on everything! So at this point I would say they are helping greatly for my needs. Over the years I have tried, dishwasher rinse solution, vinegar, laundry softener (in tanks) don't use vinegar except to sit in toilet bowl as it and the dishwasher rinse solution, have acid that eats up the seals in the tank- just so you know!!! I learned.

Very skeptical; still am; but it got rid of the red ring in the toilet so it works for me
I am still skeptical about this but it does seem to work. We have a water softener here but we still got a red ring at the water line. I have to admit that the red ring no longer appears so I can only assume that this is working. I'm not totally sure how it should go in the tank, but I made sure that it stands up on its side since having the flow of water around it appears to be important. When you drop it in, it tends to fall on its side. But who knows if this is important I did a LOT of research on this ---- does it work, how does it work ---- and came up with a lot of information, none of which supported or did not support it. I didn't understand the scientific comments and never got a clear "yes" but I am using it and the red ring is gone. That's all I can say. so I'm giving this a 4 star rating because I still can't believe in it totally but it appears to be working on the red ring.

Don’t get it
I thought this would help with hard water stains, it did not. I was frustrated and disappointed

It really has helped
I was pretty skeptical of this product. Reviews were mixed but I thought what the heck. I am pleasantly surprised. I really am cleaning the toilet less and the tank is way cleaner. I have had these a couple of months and they are working well. I still need to clean to toilet on a regular basis so if you think these are a magic wand you are a liitle crazy. The orange iron ring is gone and the black haze is too. I am purchasing more the rest of the toilets in the house.

I'm not sure if this works.
My headline pretty much saids it. I'm not sure if this thing does what it saids it does. I still get rings around the toilet which I use pumice stone to clean.3 years later, I finally took it out of one of the toilets, and I didn't notice any difference, so I just threw them out.

IT WORKS!!!
Ok. I have 2 toilets in my house. I bought Scrubbing Bubbles Vanish Drop-Ins and these magnetic chem free drop ins. I live in Cape Coral Florida and have hard well water. And the hard water stains in my toilets are a constant battle. So I compared these products in each bathroom. After two months, the hard water stains in the chem free magnetic toilet are nonexistent. The hard water stains in the Scrubbing Bubbles Vanish Drop-Ins are much worse than they ever were. And quite frankly, the chem free magnet toilet stayed much cleaner. The build up in the other toilet which much faster. Now I read reviews that said the chem free magnets didn’t work at all. Maybe it depends on what kind of water you have. But I am not going to use that Scrubbing Bubbles Drop-in ever again. P.S. I started each toilet w a clean slate. No hard water stains at all.
