I purchased both this and "You Can Teach Yourself Recorder" Mel Bay You Can Teach Yourself Recorder Book/CD/DVD Package (You Can Teach Yourself) I prefer the method and pace of this book, however T.Y.R. seems to have slightly more practice before moving onto a new concept (just slightly).This book (RP) has plenty of duets, much more than T.Y.R.This book uses many classic (16th & 17th century) compositions, as opposed to T.Y.R. which uses more nursery rhymes and modern compositions.
